Rooted? sorry. didnt make it clear. ok. my note 2 is rooted with stock rom n kernel. never flash any custom rom but weirdly my binary count is 1 and not 0 supposedly. after i flash the new firmware, my device status is still showing 'modified'. i can still see superSU in my apps but cant open it. i thought after unrooting superSU will uninstalled by itself. huhuhu

Erm.. by using triangle away, do i still need to do a factory reset to get binary count to 0?
is there any other way other than doing a factory reset?
so far i never flash any custom rom but my flash counter is 1.
stock rom n kernel. rooted.

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 14 2013, 05:30 PM) Root AND Deodexed. Odex is a type of file in the ROM. Most custom roms remove the odex file so it's "de-" odexed. This allows theming IINM. A bit of hanging out at xda and xda university is very enlightening. ok thanks. im learning something new here. i can see in my system/app there are few with .odex which means im not on deodexed rom right?

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 14 2013, 05:42 PM) Yes, you are on an "odexed" rom ie usually stock. You can also flash stock, rooted, deodexed like mine. Go xda N2 forums and find the thread from user i9000. ok thanks a lot. checking it out now.

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Jan 15 2013, 10:11 AM) Go for Perseus v31.2. Real gooding for battery life. QUOTE easy 1. try perseus or redpill, you won't go wrong with this top 2 choices. i personally am on perseus 31.2 (IIRC) 2. try out the ROM as it is pretty nicely themed with the main mods in place such as MW control, symbols on keyboard, goomanager thx. will try it. Should i wipe data before flashing?

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jan 15 2013, 10:19 AM) backup everything on TiBackupPro then do a nandroid backup using CWM then Wipe data Wipe Cache Wipe Batt stats Wipe Dalvik (i always do this when jumping ROMs) then only flash ROM, wait for restart then wipe cache, BS and Dalvik then flash Kernel might be overdoing but i'm just paranoid nice. ill follow your guide since u got no problem with it. when u said backup everything using TBpro, do u really mean everything or just apps that i wish to keep?
