QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 10 2013, 11:10 AM) If your phone is not being used in the 3 hours than the drain is high Dear uncle Benny, speaking of which, my phone is on battery for the past 12 hours and 7 minutes. the on screen time is only 30 mins. and it has dropped from 100% to 83% now, I barely touch the phone today due to my busy schedule. Mine with 3G always on and background FB notifications, email updates and tweeter updates , average drain is most 1%/hour and average is 0.5%/hour I am now on Monx DLL7 /Perseus 29 kernel Infact , my battery drain quite similar trend across most roms i have tested to date Install betterbatterystats to see what apps is waking up your phone the BBS indicated a 1.4%/h. my wifi/data is only on since 7.30am this morning. and the battery drop is terrible. When I check the partial wakelocks, something called:- "handleMediaEvent" (Android System) 11h 43m 12s (42192 s) count: 214 96.5% this particular item is the grand champion of draining my battery. The runner up item is my 3g watchdog, whch only has 31 count on 3m 48s and taking only 0.5% May I ask, what on our android phone is this “handleMediaEvent”? |

QUOTE(sklchan @ Jan 10 2013, 11:33 AM) with that kind of consumtion you still complaining?? the thing is, I was sleeping for 7 hours+ from 12am to 7am, so the phone is in deep sleep... so is the data/wifi off during that period. so no one touch the phone =.=30 mins screen time will cost you at least 5~10% drop let say 5% for the screen on time which make your phone just drain 12% in 12 hours which is 1% per hour, anything unusual??? i don't think so... I just wanna figure out what is the "handleMediaEvent" thing. |

QUOTE(sklchan @ Jan 10 2013, 11:46 AM) okay... then yes it's a bit drain if all data off... you suppose have below 5% drop from 30 mins screen on... then 5 hours data on will cost ~10% (wifi cost ~1~2% per hour, 3g will cost 2~4% per hour) then left 2% during your 7 hours sleeping (which is with data off)... still quite normal to me... QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jan 10 2013, 11:50 AM) even in deep sleep, the phone still is "awake" and not like died or something or totally switched off. i think over night reduction of 15% without charging is acceptable to me QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jan 10 2013, 11:51 AM) Best answer is to google for it . . . . Since u said your data/wifi is off , 1 of your apps must be trying to sync thus the wakelock . Since u have wifi , y not leave it on ? Not like it's gonna consume a lot of battery . Turning off your data/wifi is worst especially when u have apps that auto sync on , for eg . Facebook . It tends to continue trying to sync yet no connection for it . thanks for the explanation.@noobie, yup, the data is off while sleeping. will check and google what is mediaEvent all about. just fyi, I didn't have any single auto syncing app ie. FB, twitter and etc. even weather forecast also I refresh myself. so just wondering why no one else has "handleMediaEvent" drinking your juice like freshly squeezed orange juice? |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jan 10 2013, 12:13 PM) hmmm, I just found my fb in the partial wakelock, but the count is only 13, taking 0.3% only.but the previous mentioned one is now 240 counts at 96% lol! |

QUOTE(OnGx2 @ Jan 14 2013, 09:07 PM) my note 2 always restart itself upon very light impact, such as i fall my phone onto table from only 5-10mm height, with thick/rubbber/soft casing on, or 1 side of my phone already touch the table and i let another side of the phone fall onto table from 10mm height, even such low impact also cause my phone to restart a few times already today i always use to do that, about 2-3cm above, I will just leave it drop there...it is SME set that i get from Senheng last month, problem arise after 1 or 2 weeks, i always take good care of my phone and never let it fall from high place before is it consider defect? should i send it back for warranty? do this happen to most of u? worse when it comes to my bedroom... I literally throw it to my bed, about 1 - 1.5 metre away... =.=! I guess I should stop all this bad habit, my previous phone also throw like nobody business... lol! |

I can't figure it out why too.... |

When you have many apps installed in your phone over a period of time, yet you forgot the sequence, is there an app that actually track these installation dates/times on your phone? So you know which was your latest installed app or something? thx
