Anyone noticing the phone getting very hot after minimal usage?

I bought another Lumia 920 and like the old Lumia 920, it gets unbearably hot after maybe 10 minutes of usage till I have to put it down.

how to reduce screen freeze? haha.. and it does get pretty warm after minimal usage...

If screen freezes , press the standby button and it will back to normal after a while

One of the reasons why I still have not hard resetted the phone. I read in AAWP (All About Windows Phone) that MS is really clueless about the backup and restore process. They insist on backing up your phone to the cloud without giving an option to have it backed up to the computer. Apple gives you an option, but MS is bodoh sombong.

I like it that in iOS, once I hard reset the iPhone, I can choose which backup I want to restore to, and after restoring the backup and syncing my purchased apps, ALL my data is there (game saves, whatsapp chat messages .... everything).

Yea exactly! And also is stupid that you will only get that option to restore with new phone or hard reset.

and high number of users reporting bricking during hard reset including me.

it is not stupid. its just simple, illuminati tactics. they force the users to use the cloud, so they can be in total control and gather precious information on their customers.

same reason as above, so that the customers take the easy road, return back the set to the SC and they can collect all your info.

It's called constructive criticism. I like the phone I have but I'd like some features to be included as well.

Random reboot is an OS (Microsoft) issue. HTC also has this random reboot issue. Portico is supposed to solve it.

As for heating ... I suspect it's both (OS and hardware). I have managed to replicate the reboot due to the heating up. Phones heat up, then switch to Airplane mode to try and cool down the phone, and it reboots.

Some App is not coded properly to have some sort of speed limit I guess like UC browser, I mean, the app is super fast but at a risk of toasting the motherboard which is stupid. The apps need to find a balance between speed and battery drain.

My recommendation is get Rock's screen protector because Nillkin's one tried to cover the curvy sides leaving spot for dust to enter.

How to flash to Malaysia firmware ya. Mine is Indonesia set and currently at Indo also.

follow the instructions here http://forums.wpcentral.com/nokia-lumia-92...ned-inside.html. After you installed navifirm look for RM-821 and then 1232.5951.1249.1007. Thats the malaysian portico firmware but dont blame if something goes wrong because indo should have their own firmware.

We would love to see WP at least being a solid competitor, at least 2 digits in marketshare, even if it;s 10-15%, and we expect it to get better, hopefully a lot better just within this year. Mozilla revealed their Firefox OS, and together with Samsung's Tizen and BB10 OS, to me, all of them looks like Android.
WP is unique and fresh, looks different and i want it to continue to exist with strong marketshare, thats why we complain any shortcomings.

Hi, i wanna ask about the volume up/down button,

1. what kind of sound it controls?
(music only or including alarm, etc)
2. my alarms very slow lah, not loud enough, how can i set it louder?
(alarm sound is slower when it alarmed than play the actual sound in music/ringtone files)
