Actually I am interested in learning more on this.

Btw, the fan is placed on top of the surface along with the lamp right? do you have a picture of your fan?

Are there any other interesting blogs I can learn about plants, would really appreciate it if you can provide some! thumbup.gif

good luck varial.

belco : position it close to the water surface. the concept is to blow onto water surface to dissipate it. the water inside the tank will be cooler.

Hey guys, any recommendation of a good filter with super low noise? I just bought one extra filter but its so noisy and the filter is so lauya...just like a normal sponge only doh.gif My tank is only around 3 gallons and got 5 goldfish inside. They poop a lot that's why need 2 filters tongue.gif

Is it? I saw that today, looks expensive and good tongue.gif but RM89 for a small one sad.gif

Btw, is it really silent? The 5W filter I just bought today is noisy like no tomorrow omg, somemore aquarium put in my room, cant's sleep for sure sad.gif (But I removed it already because of the noise, currently using a low powered 3W filter which I don't think is enough for a 3 gallon tank with 5 goldfish which poop a lot)

Currently this is my setup. Just added in 2 plants, dunno why my fish always float up near the plants, is this a good or bad sign? rclxub.gif

kytz, i think u can try the units before buying right? why not ask them to install on their aquarium and run it before buying? i'd think most china made filters are quite ok already. i bought 1 recently from xianleng (can't remember the name but the box is brown and yellow colour) and it was quite HOB.

goldfishes on the surface maybe due to low oxygen in the tank.

or bcoz they see u and they think u wanna give them food....

Haha yeah, my bad for not testing before buying sad.gif

One of my goldfish died actually just 2 days after I got my aquarium, after that I got an air pump with 2 nozzles, I'm using it (shown in the picture) so I don't think it's oxygen problem hmm.gif Ya, I actually just feed them a while ago, something like a pinch of fish food maybe? Don't wanna overfeed them too much later poop too much lolz

well said jiejan. Just one question, is that a diy CO2 atomizer? mind to share your built?  biggrin.gif
*
here you go, my diy.. cheaper than cigarette filter i guess
Attached Image
one pack of daiso dry sheets i think can make hundreds of diffuser ed. some pressurized hose.
Attached Image
cut dry sheets into smaller pieces and stuff into hose.

cut~

i attached mine to two L-shape hose and it works like a charm with my diy yeast bottle. ive used glass diffuser before, but i used it with pressurised co2. compared to glass diffuser, i do not need to bleach or clean my diy in anyway and it still diffuses fine bubble(not as fine as atomizer-used it before also hehe) only cleaning i do is to just lightly brush the top with a paint brush and it diffuses fine bubble again. and derick79's riccia loves these fine co2 bubbles.. wakaka..
hope this helps.

your filter flow is so slow, dripping, its is u adjust it to that speed or that is the max speed of flow u can get? if max then u need to clean your filter.

ps. im using OF HOF biggrin.gif
