Wasn't all the cameras on 'Auto' mode? That should be fair.

We all know Sony heavily process the images on their phones.
GSIII, GNII and ip5 is using sony camera sensor but their image processing is different.

I really do hope Sony does something about it.

Also watched the video from Soyacincau (the shot inside KLCC) the Xperia Z kept on refocusing everytime the phone is panned..

There r so many mixed review, opinion and also rumors regarding xperia z. I guess sony better sell it quickly so that people can judge it themselves. I would like to list down few controversies, theories and opinions regarding this phone from variety of sources. Please feel free to add into the list.

1) how good/bad is the display n the viewing angle? - some claimed z is using an ips panel, some said the pre production unit was inferior compared to production unit.
2) is sony logo printed on the body or the shatter proof sheet? - the only way to know is by waiting someone make a review bout it by taking off the sheet, best proof.
3) how strong is the glass?
4) the camera, is it really inferior from s3, note 2 and ip5?
5) battery life
6) overall conclusion.

These r the list i really need the answer asap. Regarding the camera, im not sure is good, better or on par or inferior compared to s3,note2 n ip5, howeva reviews from phonearena regarding sony phone r always biased. I read a lot of reviews from various of reviewer website but most of the time phonearena especially always gav a bad impression bout sony phones.

it is impossible for the phone to end up in that camera mode, unless they purposely set it, even for lumia 920
now here is a photo example showing different camera mode & focus mode notice the difference in light glare?
the camera will not end up in that focus mode unless the user set it



i just point out the flaw in the comparison test, like what they did in display test
as contrast & black wash out may be the result of screen brightness

PhoneArena is known for heavily biased for Apple phones, Samsung second, and heavily against Sony phones. Watch their every hands on review, iPhone is always perfect and Sony always has many problems.

in short, i would say PhoneArena is not a reliable source for me for phone comparisons.
secondly, I don't like their preview because after 20 minutes of talking, the only thing they review is "browsing experience, viewing angle, camera quality". There's much more to talk about on each phone actually, and 3 aspects took 20-30 minutes.

i think nobody will blame you for that. just don't bang other phone specific thread that their phone sucks. having said that Arc camera sucks (overated low light) at times and I seriously don't know how much it would help by adding the R(S)..... I seriously can't wait on the actual result when taking pic when the sun is in front of you.... or is it another overated madness???

even if he's speaking japanese, watch the whole video..he covered some issues regarding both the phone and accessories..
just want to share..

not really endless..it have a maximum of 7 panes..and he's scrolling left to right most of the time..
some more the UI looked different to us as jap's version is preinstalled with docomo's UI..

Yup, that is so damn f***ing obvious right. Look at the way they review for the iphone 5. I think i find it funny how they find simple faults like sharp edges and keys, talk as$ about the power button on a Sony but highly praise nothing new stuff like panoramic and have a short term amnesia when talking about Apple maps.

I don't think it will be RM2K to RM2.1K since everywhere after currency convert around RM2.4K, so it probably that price.

And actually this phone cool for now, it easier get replace, Sony never learn from mistake, be the first for announcing = give others manufacturer to bang it down.

I'm just wondering why would you say I'm hurt? I am no samsungfag. It's just that currently only Samsung has the features I want most. I do have a thing for active digitizers.

In fact I have every respect for the hardware of the Xperia Z and its semi-openness (expandable cardslot +1, non-removable battery 0) and if Sony (mobile division) can escape the paranoia of the Entertainment division, it will be a good thing.

I never liked Sony coz they always wanted to be like crapple. If they are changing for the better (dev friendly, sensible design), that's a good thing. However, I do think this TS,um, generates a lot of comments whenever he tries to make some "factual" statements.

I myself pointed one very glaring mistake to him.
