QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 8 2013, 11:33 PM) yup, but i hope both Z and Zl wil be available here, but if sony wil bring only one of it here, i wanted the Z. stil dun understand why sony didnt sell officially xperia T here or more specific asia countries?? i hope they wont do that with this, if not no choice but to opt for an ap set. Both cane here is the best.I notice ZL bottom part is much nicer, Z too many blank place and ZL got light at bottom which was cool. Now I not sure want which one. He he.... |

QUOTE(capoi @ Jan 10 2013, 12:30 AM) Today just receive email from Sony Mobile introducing Xperia Z. So damn hot. It make me feel to delay my plan to buy my 1st smartphone. Originally, I plan to buy Xperia Ion. If the price above than 2k..I cannot afford it. I also received the email from Sony. QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jan 10 2013, 01:05 AM) I hope it was not and don't think so.QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 10 2013, 03:56 AM) http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/01/08/xperi...es-in-february/ It is high possible more than 2k, as this was price of LTE phone for the moment. Not so good news guys, it seems the price is really is more than mere 2k. Most likely between 2000-2.5k or more. Current LTE phone at Singapore market pricelist: - Samsung Note II LTE - SGD $880.00 = RM 2,194.00 - Samsung Galaxy S III LTE - SGD $785.00 = RM 1,957.00 - Apple iPhone 5 LTE - SGD $900.00 = RM 2,243.00 - Asus PadFone 2 LTE (only phone part) - SGD $990.00 = RM 2,468.00 QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Jan 10 2013, 08:18 AM) Xperia S was selling at 1899. Now that Sony has finally catch up in specs it should be within the 2 - 2.2k. Agree!QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 10 2013, 09:47 AM) but it is kinda weird if we look this way, Xperia TX and V are price at RM1599. the most logical figure for Z i assume shud be at RM1899 the lowest and the highest is RM2199 highest. i doubt they will price it above iphone price. I highly doubt it will be RM 1,899 base on current LTE phone price.I assume it will be possible price range in between RM 2,199 to RM 2,299. From here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code
Now I know the exact IP57 means. 5 - Dust protected - Ingress of dust is not entirely prevented, but it must not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the equipment; complete protection against contact. 7 - Immersion up to 1 m - Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion). - Test duration: 30 minutes Immersion at depth of at least 1 m measured at bottom of device, and at least 15 cm measured at top of device ** The strongest protection of dusk and water will be IP68, and this phone already in step IP57! Cool! This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jan 10 2013, 02:30 PM |

QUOTE(junsheng @ Jan 10 2013, 01:03 PM) europe got vts tax I do purposely tryout Xperia V yesterday, it indeen really smooth and fast, and the screen was solid as well, at least it was in nice and correct color. Samsung always did too vibrant on the color. I know S III and Note II can change color profile but it was really useless, the standard too vivid, the natural too dull, that is not natural but dull.their spec is not outdated xperia S faster thn S2 xperia T/TX/V is faster thn S3 http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_tx_t_a...o-news-4722.php HTC one X is also faster thn S3 http://www.gsmarena.com/jelly_bean_update_...e-news-5010.php their price drop so much bcauz 2 many ppl think samsung is best n buy samsung rule of demand & supple Actually S III was fast but not really smooth, Samsung cannot proper make smoothest to S III and the most basic phone and contact cannot keep open in background, and take times to open. Also the phone will reload the entire launcher after running heavy apps - example Google Chrome. All this issue was gone if you use third party ROM (pure ROM like Nexus 4 Jelly Bean v4.2.1). I believe Samsung use too much RAM for the entire interface, and S III only 1GB which was not really enough for it. All above issue do gone in Note II as Note II having 2GB RAM and I can't seen any launcher reload issue on my sister Note II. But I not interesting with this phone. I use too many Samsung phone, kind of bored of it not smooth interface (I want Samsung stock look), it was happen in S II and S III as well, and the build quality was ..... meh.... ok la. And I also hate Samsung not release full doc. of Exynos chip to developer, this make a lot trouble to them on CM, and that the reason CM developer start switching now. So I believe is time I switch to Sony soon. * unless Samsung really out too outstanding spec and features and look in coming S IV. But I doubt about it, it probably similar look like S III and still pretty plastic look. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jan 10 2013, 02:47 PM |

QUOTE(junsheng @ Jan 10 2013, 02:46 PM) u can change the colour profile but still cannot make the vividness go away Yalo, too vivid, it was unnatural, when seeing photo nearly vomit! and a lot suppose nice wallpaper look awful due to over vividness.tis is hardware adjustment, LCD gamut adjustment, they offset it cannot be change anymore but some ppl like vividness of display Beside this, Samsung AMOLED (plus or no plus same) got one big issue, it often cannot differentiate the details on dark color. Solid beauty! Loving it superb superb much! This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jan 12 2013, 12:13 AM |

QUOTE(sebastianX11 @ Jan 12 2013, 10:49 AM) Its different with poor viewing angle and providing privacy, its just the color is washed out but doesn't mean you can't see ... And I don't see somehow its a pros... Butterfly still have the best viewing angle in my opinion I not sure on this Z as it not out yet but I do checkout Xperia V and for me if was not affecting viewing experience usage.Concurred on the beauty of this phone! simplicity at its best! And due to it wash out issue, looking at side was not that clear compare with great viewing angle on my S III. |

SONY XPERIA Z was extreme famous! Everywhere was talk about, hands-on & review on it.
This time round SONY was success at least on it annoucement. http://www.gsmarena.com/ces_2013_sony_xper...-review-870.php http://www.phonearena.com/news/Sony-Xperia...ands-on_id38419 http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-phones/so...eview-50010121/ http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/sony-x...7-35567069.html http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/review/brand...xperia_z/446085 http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mo...rc=rss&attr=all http://www.soyacincau.com/2013/01/08/sony-...ially-revealed/ http://www.t3.com/reviews/sony-xperia-z-review http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/articles/sony-x...z-expert-review http://www.theverge.com/2013/1/7/3847944/s...a-z-zl-hands-on http://venturebeat.com/2013/01/11/sony-xperia-z-handson/ Too much to list all and digest on it! SONY XPERIA Z not only high spec, but as well elegance & beauty design with solid material. Coming Samsung Galaxy S IV probably will higher spec than this with tones of cool Samsung extra functionality base on motion and gesture, but I doubt Samsung can release an elegance solid body as Samsung never have solid body, instead superb plastic.
