I'm using the same settings as per the image you've shown and I'm getting IPv6, could it be that IPv6 is not enabled at your area yet?
*
If its the same settings then guess its not enabled at my area yet. Btw, the area is USJ. ^^

Hi klang.boy,

You can use it as repeater but not as router.

Thank you

Hi ZeratoS,

You can send back to Viewnet. And they send back to ASUS service center.

Thank you

Hey there,

Thanks for the reply. So am I right in assuming that they'll send it over and I'll get the replacement once you've confirmed that you received it? Or do I get one on the spot?

Also what do I tell them. hmm.gif I don't think all their staff are aware of this.

Hi ZeratoS,

You can PM me your serial number and I will ask service center to help solve it ASAP. And do let me know when you have send it over Viewnet.

Thank you

Generally speaking speed shouldn't be affected but Asus routers will most likely offer better stability when under load and the QoS feature seems to be better than the stock UniFi router.

I'm using a RMVB player that connected via LAN cable, it is able to watch something like PPTV. But it loads in a low speed sometimes, so I'm not sure whether is the router problem.

Note: Using Unifi VIP 5.

If restarting your router does not help then very unlikely it's your router. Slow speeds when streaming is usually caused by the connection instead.

Hi Irfan2397, after you switch to repeater, log in the router using Internet browser by typing 192.168.1.1.

Default user name and password is "admin"/"admin".

After log in you will be in repeater mode, you are require to search for the network that you want to repeat and connect to it. Once connected, you are done setting up the repeater.

Thank you

Why i cant log in to 192.168.1.1?

My existing TPLink wireless router for unifi has some problem with WIFI breaking.

I intend to get either ASUS RT-N16 or RT-N66U ?

Is it difficult to set up these routers for UNIFI ?
Need to flash new firmware etc...?

Hi Asus,

I've just bought ASUS RT-N12HP router yesterday to replace my standard Unifi D-link router. While trying to set it up last night, I've initially keyed in the wrong Unifi username and password for several attempt. After that, even when I've keyed in the correct username and password, I still can't gain access. I've called Unifi customer service to confirm that the password and username that I have are correct.

I also can't seem to get back to the router set up page.

Any idea to what might be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi chinkw1,

It is easy to set, the current firmware should be able to support UNIFI. You can refer to the below link on how to set it.

As for the firmware, it is advisable that you flash it for the fix and add on feature.
