better check your password
call unifi 1300 88 1221

Already checked with unifi. Password is correct. My internet status on network map states that is connected. And the phone is okay though. But no internet access?!

Khalid, yours okay already?

Pls advise if anyone is facing the same problem.

Much appreciated.

Hi digilife,

Yes, both can support USB3G + WAN.

On your second question, it should be able to work, but me no try it before but will help ask.

If the device in AP mode then it should not be able to work. If it is in router mode then need to check first, if the RT-N16 are doing the dialing.

Thank you

Any updates ?

Hi... I am using rtn56u and I don't suffer from this kind of problem. I love this router very much, fast transfer, powerful signal.
My firmware is the latest padavan custom firmware. 3.4.3.7-071
I don't suffer any stability issue. No wifi drops etc..
Did you get a faulty set?

happy exploring smile.gif

btw, is the pppoe password for unifi the same as the one we can get by using the "inspect element" feature on any modern browser?

I cant find the blue unifi form to check the password sweat.gif

its 10 chars and alphanumeric

maybe kentiong can try connecting back his old router, go to the manual connection wizard page, and then right click the password area to really verify the password of his account.

Hi Bros,

looking to replace the D-link router supply by tm for my unifi connection.

which asus router would you all suggest ? I only use the VOIP phone and internet services only.

if I were to replace the D-link router with the ASUS router, do I still need to pair up with the BTU ?

Hi Khalid21,

I will be assuming the reset you do is factory reset. If so, try set the Channel bandwidth 20/40MHz. Set a value for the Control channel.

And may I know is there by any chances that there is something around the router that interfere with the signal?

Do send the device for warranty claim if you still facing the same problem.

Thank you

Hi ldragon,

It is advisable that you need to send back to the place you bought for warranty claim.

Hi KrankZ,

May I know is all the device also having the same problem? Does it connected but no Internet access or totally cannot connect?

Try update the firmware to the latest also. Do remember to do a factory reset after the update. And redo all the setting manually.

RT n56u is shit router. Really shit. Wireless keep dropping every 10 minutes. Tried every firmware, even custom. In the end have to bridge it with DIR-615, which defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place. Just plain utter shit router.

look at all the complaints.

Hi spacelion,

If you updated the newest firmware and still facing the problem after factory reset, do send the router for warranty claim.

Latest firmware 3.0.0.4.374.979.

log into your asus router, go to wireless section, under general tab.. check / try change what is the authentication method.. ff its listed as wpa/wpa2 Personal, most likely using tkip.. if wpa2 personal, then it would be using AES.. then on your macbook must match the type of authentication on your router.. have a try
