QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Oct 2 2013, 06:02 PM) Hi arslow, Hmm, I wonder if that will actually happen or get delayed again After double check with my PM, it seen like there is a delay and the RT-AC56U estimated available end of October 2013. Thank you Hopefully its available soon, the default tm routers lan speed is miserable as it's not a gigabit port!! |

QUOTE(spacelion @ Nov 15 2013, 11:15 PM) RT n56u is shit router. Really shit. Wireless keep dropping every 10 minutes. Tried every firmware, even custom. In the end have to bridge it with DIR-615, which defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place. Just plain utter shit router. So it also happens with padavan firmware? Wow, I thought the n56u is one of the best Asus router, whatnot with the ralink chipsethttp://code.google.com/p/rt-n56u/issues/detail?id=23 look at all the complaints. QUOTE(Khalid21 @ Nov 16 2013, 11:13 PM) http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=7857happy exploring btw, is the pppoe password for unifi the same as the one we can get by using the "inspect element" feature on any modern browser? I cant find the blue unifi form to check the password its 10 chars and alphanumeric maybe kentiong can try connecting back his old router, go to the manual connection wizard page, and then right click the password area to really verify the password of his account. |

Have using the ac68u for about a week now, very happy so far.
Still on firmware 158,will upgrade to 371 over the weekend. Hope it goes well lol. ASUSmy, any idea about what kind of speeds we should be getting for wireless transfer over the LAN network from a note 3(AC) and a wired gigabit NAS? So far my only issue with the is that I'm getting a max speed of 5mBps only transferring to and from the NAS and my phone. That's with 5ghz though. With 2.4ghz it's limited to 3mBps. There's like a zillion settings on the config page, so unsure what to change now. |

QUOTE(dtdw @ Dec 27 2013, 10:15 AM) That's not entirely true. Over at work, the usb adapter is just a cheapo Tenda usb. It achieves 7ms averagely. It's on unifi with default router. I would say its a maxis thing, below is with unifi and and ac68u routerIt can be alot of things which i havent have time to test. It could just be maxis vs unifi, which i could just assume it's the router+modem they supply which is far worst than unifi's one. speedtest gives a lower ping though... ![]() done on wireless with an atheros wifi pcie which came with the lappy |

Yup, ac68u running fine without any reboot issue, or" 2.4 ghz slowing down to a crawl forcing you to reboot the router" issue.
Right now its at 15 days uptime because I updated to 374.39 by merlin 15 days ago |
