ohmy.gif What's wrong with AC66?

I am also waiting on AC68. What will the price be?

Doesn't work on current z87 boards. Installing it on one will cause your computer to lockup @ startup. Otherwise, its a pretty solid card. Wait for the AC68 though.

Ahh! I meant RT-AC68U. Will it be available for pre-order just like the AC68 adapter?

Hi mikey.mike,

The OS selection are for the utilities only, firmware are all the same because it will be uploaded on the router.

Choose any OS, and then download the firmware and unzip it.

After unzip then log in to the router to update the firmware.

Second option is update your firmware using the router. At the firmware section, there is a Check button for you to check the latest firmware on the server. It may no be up to date, but you can try.

Thank you

I have a problem with this rt-n12hp, the problem is even this router has a high power, the wifi devices I have can never get it full bar and I have several wifi devices having the same issue.

there is once I even sit right beside the router, to my surprise, it's not getting a full bar either.

based on your experience and expertise, do you think this problem belongs to the router?

Hi mikey.mike,

If your previous firmware is lower than 3.0.0.4.374.726, then you need to do factory reset and redo the setting.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will try it when i get back later. Right now in the Firmware version (in the admin page), it's showing 3.0.0.4.374_726-g10636ee. Is that right?

Hi. I did a factory reset and then went to the admin console on the router to "check for updates" but it shows that it's up to date even though the firmware is showing 3.0.0.4.374_726-g10636ee and not 3.0.0.4.379.979. Does that mean i have to load the file from my computer or leave it at this current firmware?

Hi mikey.mike,

You can update the new one by download the firmware from the web to your PC and upload the firmware within your router to update the firmware.

Thank you

Thanks for the quick response. It works really well. i have questions on the guest setup (i have already setup 2 guest accounts):

1. Is there a way to manage to speeds that guests enjoy?
2. If they are only set to surf web, does that mean they can't print to my printer? how do i do it so that they can only surf the net, print but not access my network drive?

btw, you guys have great customer service! will def recommend to friends
