I'm using Asus RT-N12HP.

My setting;
Asus RT-N12HP to Tp-Link Powerline to PC

My problem;
DC at least once / day, it happen on LAN connection only, wifi connection no problem.

Details;
I happening all of sudden, LAN disconnect (when check at phone WIFI connection still okay), and will connect back 2 to 3 minutes later. It's like it restart the LAN port or something?

Any idea, sifus?

Maybe you can try plugging to the router directly when that happen.

Sounds like powerline to me.

The RT-AC68U almost the same feature as the RT-AC87U has beside the Traffic Analyzer.
AC68U also lacks MU-MIMO
Unless it's something you can enable in future firmware updates

Hi Asus Support

I am trying to set up network printing and scanning by using the USB port on my Asus DSL-N12U_C1 router.  Firmware for this router is Version 1.0.7.6.  The printer that I have connected to the router is a Canon Pixma G2000.  The OS that I am using is Windows 10 Pro 64bits.

Printing to the Canon G2000 printer using LPR protocol is working fine, I can test print to the printer OK.

But how do I use the Asus EZ printer sharing utility to set up the printing and scanning?

I have downloaded the EZ printer sharing utility and have run the utility per the instructions on https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/114046. After running the utility, I run the Canon G2000 driver cd setup.  The setup program will then ask me to plug the Canon G2000 printer into my computer USB port. So how do I get the driver to detect the printer that is already plugged into the router?  Looking forward to your guidance.

TQ

Hi jbmsia,

Can you try install the driver on the PC with the printer plugged in the PC first? Then only you plug the printer on the router.

Thank you

Hi megnamon,

I believe this feature only available in the ADSL/VDSL modem, which is provided by TM. We don't have this in our router.

Thank you

I have updated the Asus DSL-N12U_C1 router to the latest firmware 1.1.2.2_17-g00f2807 yesterday evening and I can now print and scan with the Canon G2000 plugged into the router using the Asus EZPrinter utility.

However my streamyx connection this morning is very slow. Have you have any report of slow connection after updating the Asus DSL-N12U_C1 router to the latest firmware?

TQ

Hi jbmsia,

Maybe you can try do a factory reset and redo the setup to see whether you still face this problem or not.

Thank you

Hi Asus Support

This morning when I access my router (Asus DSL-N12U_C1) configuration page, there was message that there is a firmware update. I proceeded to update the firmware. However, after updating the firmware (not sure about the version numner), I could no longer access the router configuration page. When I key in the router IP address in IE11, the error message is:

This website could not be found.
Error Code: INET_E_RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND

In Opera the error message is:

This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.1 refused to connect.

But I can still access and browse the internet and can also ping the router. Can print as well to the Canon G2000 printer plugged into the router's USB port smile.gif

I dare not do a factory reset because I might not be able to access the configuration page to configure the router for internet access after the reset.

Any advice??

TQ

Hi jbmsia,

You can try reboot the router and try again or you can try set a fixed IP address in your LAN properties.

Thank you
