Hi, I have tried to update the firmware to latest versuib for my RT-N12HP but the wifi issue still assist. Using LAN cable, the speed is okay, but using wifi to test the speed, it will be very slow or should I say unstable. How can I resolve this?

Hi Enter2CK,

The current will not have this feature but if you want it, we do have beta firmware that we are still testing. Once tested okay, HQ will upload it on the web.

May I know is your current firmware version, what is the speedtest.net result compared to LAN device, where do you station the router and is there anything blocking the WiFi router?

Thank you

I use the newest firmware version that is 3.0.0.4.378.9443. speedtest.net in LAN device is good, but in wireless is very bad until cannot connect.I just put at behind TV and I do not do any block on WiFi router.

Hi cheekian,

Your problem mostly is TV are the one that interfere and block the signal, you can try use a longer LAN cable to connect to the HyppTV.

Or you can just move it to other location to verify your problem?

Thank you

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to TM VIP 50Mbps (50dl, 20up) package and was told the stock TM router does not support unifi up till that speed. Only by cable. My questions:

1) Are we entitled to get a new router which can support the 50Mbps speed both by LAN & Wifi?

2) If not, any recommendation on what router to use to fully utilize the speed?

Thanks.

Hi Avfan,

The firmware version is 9443. Previously the issue was that devices connected to wifi were easily disconnected/always reconnecting and with lower speed, like 2mbps (Currently is using 30mbps). After firmware is updated, the devices are hardly connected to wifi and if connectec, with low speed, 1mbps.

It is landed property btw.

The first few days using this router RT-N12HP with no issue, after that, the above issue happened.

Thanks for your reply.

but why stock router that given by TM don't have any problem even though I put behind TV?
And I not feel this is signal problem,is the router problem, because it always suddenly drop line and always in the low speed...and the signal is very good and no problem, just the very low speed and always drop line problem.

since yr router, unifi and abode is same as mine, i can only suspect:

... yr firmware installation was incomplete, need a total reset (there is a procedure).
... unifi incoming in yr area is currently experiencing serious problems (check with yr neighbors).
... yr modem may be cranky, about to go kaput (problem confirmed if yr phone set no dialing tone sometimes).

monitor and check it a bit more.

the rest, maybe asusmy can help you.
