QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Feb 23 2015, 09:48 AM) Hi JustAComputerUser, Connection timed out mostly related to the something wrong with the connection or you forgot to choose the ISP profile. If you have followed the video on the youtube, I assume that you have connected the LAN cable from the modem to the ASUS router correctly and you have selected the ISP profile. Can you help double check whether there is DSL signal from the modem and have you moved the LAN cable from the modem to LAN port to another LAN port? And is the previous router connected without any problem? Thank you Yes previous router connected without any problem at all. I tried everything, contacted both Unifi and Asus support. Now send it back to lowyat where i bought it from. Surprisingly, The guy said my router having some difficulty with quick internet set up. Instead of changing for a new router, the guy insist to fix it. After waiting for 2 hours, HE THEN WENT TO CHARGE ME RM10 because warranty does not cover the software problem as warranty only cover hardware problem( quick internet set up problem). Is this true? can anyone confirm this? Although RM10 might be a small sum of money. But i definitely do not like the feeling of getting scammed

I juqst bought RT-N12D1 and all set up done. Hypp TV is ok, able to view all TV channels but cannot surf the internet.
I have login to router page and found that the status show as connected but no WAN IP address, rebooting didn't help. Still can get internet as WAN IP as not available.
What help was to into router settings and turn off internet connection and turn it on again then it gets the WAN IP and able to use the internet.
After reboot I will have to repeat those steps again to get connected to the internet.
I'm using Unifi 5MBPS by the way. Any help is appreciated

Hi, I bought an Asus Router WL N900 RT-N66U online from World Info Tech on 22/4/2012 with 3 year warranty and the router broke down recently. I called Royal Club KL and the service centre at Amoda as it is more convenient and, I believe, it is faster for me to send there. However I was told they do not accept warranty claim from the end user directly and I have to go through the dealer. As going through the reseller will take a few more days or weeks and it is very inconvenient without internet connection, I would appreciate if you could suggest how I can speed the process up.

Bought RT-N12D1 few weeks ago and been using it without any issue until my recent encounter.
The allocation/distribution of bandwidth from RT-N12D1 to all the wired and wireless devices working perfectly fine.
Just recently i found the bandwidth my Xiaomi Box/ IPTV is "pulling" all the data bandwidth and my 10mb UniFi can only be used by 1 wireless device at one time while the others only getting less than 1mb according to the speed test.
There are 4 connections to the router, 2 wired (CCTV + Alarm) and 2 wireless - (Xiaomi Box + iPhone).
By the way, i have also tested with 2 smartphones without IPTV. My observation is whichever wireless device connected to the router first will be okay. The latter will either gets extremely slow down or not connected to internet at all.
I am with stock firmware and not too sure by upgrading will solve my problem. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you My router serial number is C2IE08005033. I am currently arranging with the seller on how to pass the router to him as I bought it online. I do not understand Asus policy for going back to the seller for warranty claim. Does that mean if the seller has closed down or moved, then the buyer can no longer claim for warranty?
