Hi, I bought an Asus Router WL N900 RT-N66U online from World Info Tech on 22/4/2012 with 3 year warranty and the router broke down recently. I called Royal Club KL and the service centre at Amoda as it is more convenient and, I believe, it is faster for me to send there. However I was told they do not accept warranty claim from the end user directly and I have to go through the dealer. As going through the reseller will take a few more days or weeks and it is very inconvenient without internet connection, I would appreciate if you could suggest how I can speed the process up.

Hi drindy,

For networking device you will need to back to the place you bought for warranty claim.

I can help you follow up if you provide the serial number.

Thank you

My router serial number is C2IE08005033. I am currently arranging with the seller on how to pass the router to him as I bought it online. I do not understand Asus policy for going back to the seller for warranty claim. Does that mean if the seller has closed down or moved, then the buyer can no longer claim for warranty?
