As long as you are able to ensure that the transaction is being captured during weekend, then you'll be enjoying the 5x TP and 5% cashback. Some online merchant may not process the transaction even though you made it on weekend.

By the way, I don't think GE accepts AMEX.

Yeah, I asked them before. According to them, as amex merchants they have to pay extra as compared to VISA/Mastercard.

On a side note, mixed up my rebate cycle, thought it is the same as my billing cycle, so this month only got RM3 rebate, as I swiped my card on 31st march in a hotel, which I thought that transaction rebate will go into April's rebate but it was actually given under March's rebate. Wasted..

I called into Maybankard CS today to enquire about my missing 4 sen from my April 2013's 5% Weekend Rebate.

I calculated total transaction : RM1000.71 but they gave me RM49.96 only. mad.gif

They checked and told me I should get lesser as the PayPal I did on 31-Mar-2013 (posted on 2 April) was not counted under April 2013.
Can anybody confirm this ?

So it does not conform to the calculation that we have deduced as per your example #2.

They considered that transaction's rebate under March 2013?

Yes. The amount is secondary. What more important is, we get more insight on how the cash back mechanism works and share with others here.

1st link is for AMEX only and similar to S&C.

2nd link is 0% installment plan at merchant side

For similar thing like S&C for Visa/Mastercard, go to: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cards

I'm not so sure but I think, it should be counted in April. I have experienced to received extra rebates due to miscalculation although I didn't make any complaint

Maybe the bank just need to gauge your record first. Submit the CL increase form and attach your income documents again if you want.

I am not sure if anyone experience it. Those which never maximise the RM50 monthly rebates will fall short of 1c. hmm.gif

Imagine got 1 million customer that never maximize the rebates, MBB is saving like 10k/month.
