nope
redeem voucher (parkson) -> sell 10% off -> use money buy item at senq using amex during weekend
eg: rm1000 (cost 186,000 pts = rm37,200) -> sell rm900 -> buy item rm900 using amex weekend get value back 7.5% = 967.50 at senq -> 967.50/37,200*100 = 2.6% -> increase value by 0.1%
brows.gif
*
U want so much hassle for your 0.1%? rclxub.gif

If I don't want to buy anything at senq and sell all the vouchers the the value still 2.5% biggrin.gif

From fraud company "SKINNYCORP" & "DELIAS OPERATING COMPANY" total amount USD175.50

Last transaction I did was today at e@Curve paying my maxis bill.

Already called up to inactivate the Amex card. Sigh.

Previously, did you make any online transaction using your AMEX?

As long as you are able to ensure that the transaction is being captured during weekend, then you'll be enjoying the 5x TP and 5% cashback. Some online merchant may not process the transaction even though you made it on weekend.

By the way, I don't think GE accepts AMEX.
*
I can confirm that GE doesn't accept AMEX. Been asking a few times why AMEX ot accepted as merchant doh.gif

Yes. The amount is secondary. What more important is, we get more insight on how the cash back mechanism works and share with others here.

I am not sure if anyone experience it. Those which never maximise the RM50 monthly rebates will fall short of 1c. hmm.gif

Imagine got 1 million customer that never maximize the rebates, MBB is saving like 10k/month.

What do you mean short of 1 sen ?
Do you mean you get RM49.99 ?
*
My spending on April was RM249.41 and the rebates I obtained was RM12.45. Shortfall of 2c. Sometimes it shortfall by 1c.

You should ROUNDDOWN (<cell>*0.05,2)
And I did receive EXACTLY RM49.96 sad.gif + PayPal transaction is calculated based on posting date and based on actual charged MYR amount.
*
So next time maximise the RM50 by spending 1010. No more rounding biggrin.gif

Hi,

Just purchased MAS tickets for friends and noticed the following statement after receiving the e-ticket:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I have called & emailed them regarding this issue as my friends will be flying from KL while I was just helping them to purchased the tickets.

Below is the reply I got:
Please be informed that for online booking using third party credit card will required for verification. If you unable to provide them those documents, alternatively you may scan and email us the copy of credit card front page and copy of IC/Passport for us to verify at our end. We will update into the booking that we have verify and passenger not required to provide those documents anymore.

Failure to verify those documents will be denied boarding.

My questions:
Do I really need scan my CC front page with IC for verification? During the ticket checkout I have already entered all my details & billing address.

How secure if all my CC details & IC being sent over to them? By the way, I used AMEX for the transaction.

Seeking some valuable advice. Thanks notworthy.gif

i believe you have to then.
since passenger and billing name is different, it raises suspiciousness of fraud case
*
I place my billing address when doing the payment but passenger is my friends name. Why do they need verification even though I have made a call to MAS to inform them about this? rclxub.gif

Just out of curiosity, does this happened to other airlines? I do remember AA, CX doesn't have this kind of ruling!

most airlines have this ruling.
its to avoid purchasing tickets with fraudulent cards.
if the card owner is the passenger, chances of a fraud is low
but if the card owner and passenger name isnt the same, it could well be a fraud.
therefore they need to verify the card during check in

Oh really? Thanks for notifications. notworthy.gif

QUOTE(Gen-X @ May 7 2013, 11:37 PM)
I have redeemed my Enrich Miles online to get my son and daughter MAS tickets and used my credit card to pay for the surcharges and taxes. But if I were to redeem the same tickets over the phone, I have to write a letter and go to MAS counter to pay for it (the surcharges and taxes)!!!

I have booked many times Air Asia tickets with my MBB2 AMEX for my family members without any problems.

As for how secured is your details, Bro if you so worried... stop using credit card and start using debit card where you can deposit the exact amount you need to spendĀ  tongue.gif

Bro Gen-X,
Airasia I know no problems la. Being purchasing AA lots of times w/o any hassle. thumbup.gif
This is my 1st purchase from MAS therefore, I was surprised with such a ruling & requested me to send a photocopy of my CC (front) & IC for verification. Aiya, bro Gen-X, don shoot me like that la. tongue.gif

AMEX or MBB? I think should MBB since the TAC authentication method is available much earlier for AMEX.

Ooh. I didn't realized that TAC been used by AMEX much earlier. tongue.gif
