QUOTE(Rooivalkx @ Apr 9 2015, 07:54 PM) How did you check? I haven't received any bonus miles too even though I redeemed quite early... I called the number at the back of my MBB credit card and enquired. First call, they told me to contact Asia Miles, which I did. Asia Miles told me no, I had to talk to MBB so I called again and a third+fourth time. Every time I was politely told that they will call me back with an answer. They never did. It was on the last call that they informed that I was not on the list of cardmembers eligible for the bonus miles. They also kept repeating about the 1 million mile cap in the t&c. I said the cap was irrelevant as I redeemed so early and that I thought it was extremely unfair for them to induce people to redeem with juicy promises of 33% bonuses and give no credible explanation when no bonus miles are awarded.

QUOTE(iamWill @ Apr 10 2015, 09:59 AM) It's a hit and miss. Welcome to Malaysia Haha...true. I have had better luck for instance when MBB converted TreatPoints from my other credit cards at the same 4500 to 1000 rate as my Maybank 2 Cards Premier. Enrich also credited nearly 11k miles for one leg of my redeemed KCH-LHR flight in Feb so that was a bonus. On a side note, anyone ever redeemed First Class for London or Paris on MAS? The Enrich redemption portal shows 442k miles required This is a bit of a joke when all you need is 220k for Cathay First Class.

QUOTE(dc8585 @ Apr 8 2015, 09:33 PM) Redemption on 1 April finally showing on my Enrich account today. 185k+10% bonus miles. No GST. I stand corrected. I just called CS. They did charge me 6% GST. It cost me 882,450 TreatPoints for the 185k Enrich Miles instead of 832,500 TreatPoints.

Ladies and gentlemen, It gives me utmost pleasure to announce that I have just published my most comprehensive tutorial ever on how to fly Business Class for FREE from our credit card transactions. With the recent inflated Enrich Miles and Maybank Treats Points Redemption Program, I thought I should do some research on how to optimize the returns from my credit cards. And every time I educate myself, you guys benefit from my hard work as I will share with you my findings. If you take this tutorial of mine, you will learn that if you spend about RM2K per month, within 2 years you''ll be able to fly Business Class to London sooner than you would ever imagine. All in all, there are 21 lessons plus a bonus lesson in my comprehensive tutorial on how one can get a “FREE” Business Class ticket from his/her credit cards usage. Once again, this tutorial of mine is really comprehensive and since most of you are busy working on weekdays, it it best you take the tuition part time over the next few weekends when you are in a relax mode so that your brain can adsorb the materials presented. Click here to read my Comprehensive Tutorial On Earning Enrich Miles with Credit Cards to start learning how you can fly Business Class for “FREE” starting this weekend - that is if you got time to waste reading and enjoy reading my freaking long articles.

Many thanks to bro Gen-X for his tireless efforts. Most of us I am sure have benefited from his articles. Any of you following Chris Guillebeau? I have benefited plenty from his writings as well, especially in terms of "manufactured spending" ie the "art" of spending/accumulating treatpoints without actually spending. I heard that MAS will be cancelling its flights to Amsterdam and Frankfurt soon so Enrich Miles will basically be useful only for London and Paris flights. Krisflyer/AsiaMiles henceforth?

Yes thank you Gen-X for lots of good tips. Manufactured spend is a science, unfortunately not so easy to do cheaply in Malaysia. I've been on flyertalk for years and the tips there are a lot better than what you'd get from the typical blogger, highly recommend going straight to the source. My TP have been going to KF for the past few months, have not touched Enrich for awhile and won't be going back due to the devaluation

I like Chris' writings and would love to duplicate his feat of visiting every country in the world via 'travel hacking' (I've still got 75% more to go lol). I've stopped converting to KF after a poor experience on their A380 Business Class from JFK-SIN. Their seats were too wide and too short for me. Converted some to AsiaMiles but have yet to redeem any flights.

May I know how best to claim the Enrich miles for tickets purchased for kids? Seems like only can earn points in their own Enrich accounts? If so, is it easy for them to transfer their points to my account later?

For example, if fly to Hong Kong economy class return air fare about RM1k, how many miles are earned after the trip? I saw this chart about accrual 200%, 150% etc but accrue what?

For example, if fly to Hong Kong economy class return air fare about RM1k, how many miles are earned after the trip? I saw this chart about accrual 200%, 150% etc but accrue what? For expensive tickets eg. first class, business class, full fare economy accrual is 100-200% or more of the actual miles flown. So assuming that KL to Seoul is say 3,500 miles one way, you get 3,500 Enrich/KF/etc miles if you buy an economy class ticket that accrues 100%, 7,000 miles one way if you buy a first class ticket that accrues 200% and everything else in between. For most people flying cheapest economy class tickets though, you accrue 100% or 50% or even 0% Enrich miles on the cheapest tickets. That's what it means in a nutshell. Malaysia airlines has not looked into how much RM you spend, Singapore has started.

Miles depends on flight distance and class NOT how much u pay. e.g from my last monday flight flight distance from KUL to NRT is 3358 miles Business class J is 175% accrual - U'll get 5876 Elite miles and 5876 Enrich miles (Gold member will received 6716 Enrich Miles) same as other class, only the accrual is different : Economy class O (promo) is 25% - so u'll get 3358*0.25 elite mile & 3358*0.25 enrich miles for each sector.

Thanks guys. Have a clearer picture now. Seems like unless one frequently purchases business/first class tickets, earning miles are not easy especially those economy promo tickets. Was thinking of opening Enrich accounts for family members to earn some points and later transfer and consolidate. Knowing the slow accumulation rate and transfer costs now, not much incentive really. Might be better off just trying to earn miles from Maybank 2 Premier credit card spending.

Hi all sifus, Anyone has experience redeem flight for Qatar Airway using Enrich miles? How can that be done and is it worth the miles? Am looking for flight from Bangkok to CPH. Thanks UPDATE: Ignore this. I had found information in MAS website. FYI, in order to redeem other OneWorld airline flights using Enrich, you have to call Malaysia Airlines ticketing counters or call centres. That also means there wouldn't be 15% discount. As I read earlier someone call multiple time in order to get lowest airport tax, I think I will do the same to try my luck This post has been edited by nestahng: Apr 20 2015, 06:55 AM
