QUOTE(namh @ Jun 7 2013, 02:07 AM) but please remember, Maybank2kad Amex RM1=5TP while normal Amex RM1=2MR. To convert to 1 Enrich Miles, Maybank2kad Amex only need rm1.40 while Amex need RM2.80. However you do have the option for 5x MR from the gold or platinum Amex credit cards for some transactions. If you're clever with choosing the correct card for expenditure then you can maximize your Enrich conversion via both MR and TP.

QUOTE(soonyeap @ Jul 30 2013, 11:20 PM) Enrich is something that im avoiding actually, the surcharges and taxes always sum up to be alot more than actual. And their redeem miles system is somewhat confuse, example miles i need to redeem to penang and to bangkok is the same which puzzle me. Not to mention about 'close to non' enrich customer service. I myself book through MAS website using cimb enrich card which earn RM1-1 enrich pts and credit flying miles to my CX marco polo, i still enjoy oneworld benefits, and i will take CX whenever possible. Yes, Enrich redemption comes with huge fuel surcharges so they're not worth it unless you go for biz/J during their year end offers (60k miles for biz return to LAX!) Even SQ has some very high fuel surcharges. I'm now concentrating on my oneworld miles. My miles are way too spread out right now on too many airlines...

QUOTE(TSOM @ Jul 18 2013, 07:28 AM) Which are the cards that can collect points and convert to airlines other than MAS and AA?? American Express charge cards MR can be transferred to Krisflyer, CX Asia Miles and a few others. However even with 5x points using the Amex gold credit card it'll take awhile. Can't beat the US based credit cards though, they offer some really fantastic opportunities to gain miles.

QUOTE(soonyeap @ Jul 30 2013, 11:49 PM) You have to get a main program to stick to, else you are losing out. For me i prefer CX marco polo but CX elite status is one of the hardest to get, but their redemption system is very attractive... Wakaka, I unfortunately don't have much choice due to varied flights and credit cards I'm on. If I had a choice I'd probably stick to Star Alliance but as of now it's all over the place. I'm at around 270k on UA Mileageplus, 160k on Krisflyer, 55k on AAdvantage plus more on Avios, Emirates etc. Emptied out my Etihad buying stuff and Enrich earlier this year when I got biz during their promos.

QUOTE(soonyeap @ Jul 31 2013, 08:26 AM) You are flying 400k elite miles a year ??? That close to KUL-LAX-KUL twice every month in EY or Once every month in F!!! LOL I only manage to do about 120k elite miles a year and i have to choose a program to stay with... No lah most of it are on credit card mile promotions. I was flying a lot some years back but now I might do two J to LAX/NYC a year so at most 40-50k seat miles only. For those I've been focusing on Star Alliance since like 2009. You're way ahead of me there The plan is to use up those miles for a family trip to the US, unfortunately with all the varied miles I have I can't consistently get a J/F flight on one award ticket, will have to split it up... QUOTE(Gen-X @ Aug 30 2013, 05:50 PM) Thank you thank you. I must drop by 1U this weekend. Damn, didn't see this until too late. On a side note, when will our Enrich miles be redeemable on OneWorld flights or are they already? I know the opposite is true ie. if you have AAdvantage miles for example you can book MH flights already.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Oct 1 2013, 03:24 PM) melonlicious just highlighted at Airport Lounge Thread that Citibank PremierMiles AMEX is offering 60K Enrich Miles for new sign up.
Got to pay the RM600 annual fee and other conditions but then again with 60K Enrich Miles, can redeem Business Class one way to Milan or USA. Wow, haven't been here for a few weeks and just found out about this promo. Now I'm torn. Was almost certain that I wanted to focus on Krisflyer only from now on, looks like Enrich might be back in business Question is, is this (combined with the 10-15% cc transfer bonus) a sign of a devaluation coming in the future?

QUOTE(rjb123 @ Jan 8 2014, 12:54 PM) Citibank credited the first half of the 60K bonus Enrich miles and I'm still collecting on the Maybank VI so by the time the next promotion comes around I'll easily have enough points to book another Biz return for 2 pax to most destinations Damn I missed that Citibank bonus, was traveling and didn't see it on time. Argh Time to apply for the Maybank VI I guess, need to bring up my Enrich balance again.

QUOTE(iamWill @ Mar 20 2014, 03:33 PM) London is using a380 while Paris using smaller plane. Larger plane, higher tax Ha ha. It's the airport that charges tax plus MH usually has fuel surcharges (YQ). Fuel surcharges are painfully high on MH Enrich redemptions to the point that it doesn't make sense to redeem for economy class tickets. I love the US based airlines in this sense. Mileageplus and AAdvantage both don't have fuel surcharges on most flights and their partners.

QUOTE(Phelddagriff @ Mar 20 2014, 11:35 PM) Not something you hear very often... Hey you took my quote out of context But yes I do love the US based airlines in the context of miles and the lack of fuel surcharges.

Not entirely an Enrich question but aside from Amex MR and Citibank rewards, are there any other cards in Malaysia that transfer to Avios? I googled and did a quick search on the banking sites a bit but nothing came up.

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Apr 28 2014, 03:01 PM) i am curious whether we can still use enrich miles to redeem this..especially during 50% off... anyone got the answer? You can redeem enrich miles for Oneworld flights but there's no 50% off and the award charts are on the high side. http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en/enri...s/oneworld.htmlOther Oneworld partner miles are more valuable. As an example, I just redeemed 125k Avios miles on Cathay Pacific and got a one way KL to New York in Biz/First Class. You need 204k Enrich miles to do that... Enrich miles are seriously low value on Oneworld. If you're actually flying, it's probably best to park your miles under AAdvantage.

QUOTE(mark001 @ May 1 2014, 12:11 PM) Hey, may i ask how to redeem with Avios miles? Does the Maybank Treats Points can convert to Avios miles? Avios is redeemable via Citibank only. Maybank TP can only be redeemed for Enrich and Krisflyer.

QUOTE(mark001 @ May 2 2014, 12:09 AM) which citibank cards can redeem for Avios points? And what is the conversion like? I only have Citibank gold, best to check their website for details. Conversion is similar to Maybank TP to KF. I only wish I could transfer Maybank TP to Avios, way more in TP than Citibank points.

QUOTE(skincladalien @ May 10 2014, 11:38 AM) The only airlines with suite is SIA. SQ has fully enclosed suites ie you can close the door. Emirates is the same. Other airlines eg. CX has open suites ie. enclosed on the left but somewhat open on the right. The picture's not great, was doing a panorama on my iPhone but it shows where the open part of the suite is. MH A380 suites is a bit more open than CX, similar to Thai as mentioned already. I like both the Cathay and Singapore suites. Have not yet tried Thai or Malaysia Airlines suites yet. Might try it during the next Enrich sale but I don't have much reason to go to London

QUOTE(skincladalien @ May 12 2014, 09:49 AM) got better picture? it looks like business class from this angle. Yeah, one thing i dont like about MAS is A380 only go london and france. hope they can go other places once they receive more planes I have more pictures but they're on the iPhone. Trust me it's significantly longer and wider than business class. That ottoman is actually pretty far away, I can't reach it with my feet fully extended. Will compare it with SQ suites later.

QUOTE(Wongchoy @ Jun 21 2014, 08:45 PM) One good point is C/F class seats are readily available on MAS, unlike krisflyer always fully booked ! Absolutely correct. A handful of routes are mostly empty on C/F but in general KF is never ending waitlist. The best so far is CX but Maybank TP doesn't transfer to Avios or Asia Miles. Only Citibank does.

QUOTE(herc @ Jun 21 2014, 02:38 PM) using EM to redeem flight from OneWorld alliance member worth? Is there a place to check the rate? Feel it tiring if need to check different flight to different destination from a phone call. Try this link There's a Oneworld entry somewhere on the first link. In short however it's not worth it. Far too expensive IMO compared to the likes of AAdvantage, plus you need to pay airport tax + fuel surcharges on some airlines.
