if you would like to maintain the slimness of the ip5, a slim bumper will be pretty good alternative for you to consider. as for the front & back, just protect them with a H-Q SP.
for those who love to wear hard-type of fabric (e.g. jeans), may consider also a pouch. as dragging in & out the ip5 from our pocket especially those tight jeans, will definitely increase the chances of scratching the ip5.

I just trade in my Iphone 5 due to some manufacturer defects.

Personally, I faced battery , wifi, camera problems.


Please check your phone if you found these problems.

1) Battery drain very fast even in standby time.


2) wifi signal is very very weak compare to your tablet or other phone, the distance must be kept within 3 m to get full bar.

3) GOt sounds when u lightly shake your iphone, rattling problems.

4) Camera experienced purple glare during indoor shooting with external lighting.

Rattling sound none no matter how hard I shake it. This only affect some users
Battery strength is lower n display gets warm fast with use vs my note 2
WiFi so far OK no serious problems
Camera purple glare very slight n I read is default characteristics of this phone. Seriousness depends on lighting condition. I can accept as very minor n does not occur everytime

For those who buy directly from apple store.. you can request to change for any defects you found.. They are happily change for you ...

For those who has contract with telco, u can ask for a exchange but they will replace you with a new set / refurbished set it will depend your luck ...

Anyone able to change the iphone with scuff with Maxis ? I wonder I wan to keep those scuffs

For me:

1) Battery life is excellent, normal use Whatsapp, browsing using Chrome, take pictures, use Facebook, check email, play music etc. and end of the day still > 20%.

2) My room is more than 3m from the Unifi router and I get 2-3 bars which is enough.

3) Power button rattles lightly, not an issue for me because my 3gs did the same thing even louder.

4) My brother's iPhone 4 also has purple glare, haze, whatever but not as much.

u mean we definitely will get one to one change new set not refurbished from apple store?

afaik, the replacement will be the one in white box. usually service center will only replace the phone if there a fault/cosmetic damage of new phone return by customer. there also some changes on model number to note. its MD for retail and ND for replacement.

initially i have the retail one manufacture in week 49, but due to cosmetic damage which is huge ding/bezel chip on phone, i changed to replacement set, week 37, still there some minor scratch.. but i don't bother to change anymore since its real minor/tiny scratch. the rest is all fine.

oh well, apple really need to raise up its QA. if steve job still alive, i dont think this phone will make it appearance, at least got some changes especially the anodizing method currently used in this phone. should have follow like their macbook pro, good stuff.

1. Battery drain is very normal here. Why not try reset first?

2. Why must you insist on full bar? Wifi strength does not matter if your transfer speed is ok.

3. Even my 4S has same sound. Unless you haven't google, it's quite apparent since 4. And then 4S. And now only complain?

4. Please, same problem with 4S too. I would say its critical if you can prove that a certain percentage of your photos exhibit such problems and not based on someone review.

I been message digi multiple time, but they seem ignore my email.if i call digi customer care line,they also ask me email the online store feedback. Till not no reply apart from digi offer replacement set like everyone say mostly is refurbished.
