Hi sifu-sifu here, recently I just RMA my new Corsair RM1000x which bought after My Seasonic X-650 kaput last year.
I have no idea which good brand to try anymore. Any suggestion for good quality, Gold efficiency PSU with wattage 750-1000W?

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Jan 17 2021, 10:45 PM) Budget? and your PC specs right now? Less than RM800 I guess. Gold efficiency series enough. Not going for high end Platimum. I know Seasonic is the diamond among PSU but I am not sure for now. This is why I end up trying Corsair but got issue pula... I am shamed to show this. Old rig. i7-3770k, GTX 1070, 1 SSD, 1 5.4k rpm HDD, 1 7.2k rpm HDD. Maybe something future proof. I think higher watt would have lesser load on it even though my system won't consume much.

That's still a pretty capable machine though Consider those units: 1. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/adata-xp...CycSkE&search=1 (XPG Core Reactor 750W) 2. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/fractal-...7312117nK9&mp=1 (Fractal Design ION+ Platinum) 3. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/super-fl...554biVOb2E&mp=1 (Super Flower Leadex III) Those PSUs should easily handle your machine, and they can even handle a RTX3080 (famous for high power spikes)

Hi guys, Can you recommend me a PSU that is able to handle the RTX3060/RTX3060Ti? Looking to upgrade my current 500W Silverstone PSU that has lasted for 10 years Tempted to get the XPG Core Reactor or RM650 but it is quite expensive, are there any more budget friendly options with Gold ratings? Thanks!

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Jan 28 2021, 06:14 PM) Thanks for the recommendations! The MWE Gold V2 is quite close to the RM650 price I am seeing on Shopee from PCByte. The RM650 is now RM399 on sale. It seems like the MWE V2 650W is also not being offered by many seller currently haha. Many out of stocks, only few seller remain that have stocks.

Then the RM650 is perhaps the best choice out there, considering that the MWE Gold v2 is one tier lower than the RM

Is it common to have coil whine on a new PSU? It is a Silverstone ST65F-GS.
Edit: Tried upload .aac but doesn't work.
