frankly speaking, i think waja suit men.....hmmm he is going to drive the car in my hometown, i think maintenance wont be a problem since my dad is a mechanic and most of his friend are mechanic too. In this field, my dad will be able to get the spare part, others services like air-cond,exhaust.....etc in quite a cheap price compared to other people.

what i heard from my father friend who repaired quite alot of waja...... Power Windows is the problem...and it is expensive.
BTW, those car accident and "injured" badly .... their record can "Vanish" in PXSPXKXM .

waja is a great car... and yes sometimes does drink petrol more... weird...
my dad's waja has 4 door oso prob the power window... some can go down can't go up again, some just not working... some got sound when push button & nothing happen....
all in 1 car...

one serious matter on the power window is never wind down fully or let it stop by itself , it can double up the lifespan .
really .

yeah, heard before. maybe when our family used the car before never paid any special attention to power window care-how, coz normally car operate power windows just let it wind down by itself... nod.gif

ya, i personally DIY install bitumen sheet on my door panels before . so i know the mechanism of the power window .
basically when u wind down fully , the whole bracket bend becasue of the cable become tighter on both side , that is supported with two pulley , in long term the pully itself will break becasue cnnot sustain such stress.

my waja also around rm100-rm105..
and can go for 600km++,
but if everyday trapped in traffic jam, i don't think can reach 600km++
500km++ already reach the limit sad.gif
*
if u read in wpc forum. there is sum1 get 900km++ for 1 full tank but he admit he drive pondan style.
but there is a lot of people there manage to get 700km++ - 800km++ regularly and in 50highway 50city.

other car is actually using metal frame , i have seen such design in continental cars before , proton try to cut cost and reengineered it using fibre .
acutally , it cannot sustain becasue our climate is different , it is hot . in the lab , they only try it under the roof , they never cook it between the door metal . and 2nd thing is , we open and shut the door , this gives additional stress to the pulley , this is not tested in the lab too . 3rd thign is , in the lab , they wind down and up only , they didnt wind it till it stops itself i think . 4th thing is actually QC stuff .

the plastic PW will be a never-ending story. my rear PW also broke, even tho i drive alone 95% of the time, and use aircond, so the rear windows is prcatically closed all the time.

DIY the replacement ... it's pretty easy for me ...

u can call the spare parts shops from the list i gave. then u buy the parts and go to mechanic ask him to fit it in. check around where give cheaper labour. is not a really complicated job.
