anyone/sifu here know how open port for GRE and PPTP??
I have recently subscribed a VPN but the biggest problem I found is that I can't use VPN with openwrt firmware T^T
Sad case, I followed guide online and tried almost whole day still unable to connect to VPN.
Really appreciate if someone can show me the correct ways/guide.

Why the gear(2nd from left) and the wifi LED keep blinking for like one second interval? hmm.gif
And what is for the gear LED to indicate?

well i can only say with my previous experience with DLink USB modem, i have the Dlink DWM 152 & ZTE MF627

on signal par wise, my ZTE MF627 always out performs on signal, and much lower in temperature + faster speed too

Dlink is kind of bad chocies in USB modem for sure

just my honest opinion notworthy.gif

The A6 Dlink dwm-156 is plain bad.. without any inteference, on its own, it loses USB connectivity every 30 mins or so.. The stock v1 MR3420 doesnt recognise it either.

Thankfully the A3 still works okay

Anyhow banning Dlink networking products for good

Now using the TPLink MA180.. Looks better with all black, a nicer UI connect manager and definitely compatible with the MR3420

Comparing both their reception, i think MA180 is slightly stronger at 64% without any external antenna while DWM156 comes average 40% for me

Yes you are right, Dlink is a bad choice for USB modem.

So plug into 3G router , will my signal get better? Thanks.

Not comparing usb modem.

Yes or no

If your PC supply not enough USB power then router is stronger

If PC can supply enough power then no difference smile.gif

Why not buying a fully new setup, MF680 is relatively cheap nowadays smile.gif

I just test with 320U (With Panel Antenna) + V2, I can get Signal Strength 58% compare to MF680 only maximum 48%...

Not yet tested with 2nd external antenna

Speed same. 7 - 9Mbps
IDM = Max 1.2MBps (MF680 1.1MBps)

Dialer a bit late compare to MF680.

consistency = Still tested. Will update Later.
