just newer packages i think.. probably the RTM for AA..

i made the image with default profile, just like from the normal download from openwrt site.. plus added the luci interface that got ibnuasad stuck.. and nano, so we could edit files via ssh in the event of a softbrick...

that relates to usb storage and samba i think, but, TL-MR3420 flash memory is too small.. just 4MB, not enough room for all packages for 3g connectivity and usb storage+samba..

some tried using powered usb hub and connects modem, usb storage.. but that just complicates the setup.. me also rclxub.gif wanna do usb storage on 3420..

Excellent rclxms.gif notworthy.gif Will try it on my other v1.3 router later icon_idea.gif

khairilyazit, my router still cannot go to webgui. When turn on the router, all led will light up at once for 1 second but after that, only PWR & LAN# light up. SYS led does not light up. Any ideas to debrick without serial cable? icon_question.gif sweat.gif

did u try setting to static ip 1st?
if can, then u can telnet or ssh to the client..

but since ur sys led didn't lit up.. i'm afraid it may really be bricked..

i read the wiki page.. seems like u need a serial to debrick. cause its a hard brick..

u could try set to static ip and see if the router responds.. if it responds, use telnet or ssh to login then install luci..
make sure to connect a network to the wan port for internet..

On many routers, including the Asus WL-500g Premium v1 that I use, you flash an image by disconnecting power, press and hold down the reset button, and connect the power again. Wait a few seconds and the PWR LED will start to blink. Release the reset button. The device will now have a TFTP server running on 192.168.1.1.

You’ll have to use a Ethernet cable at this point. Connect it to LAN1-LAN4, not WAN. Configure your local machine on the 192.168.1.x/24 network, for example as 192.168.1.42. The router will use 192.168.1.1.

$ tftp 192.168.1.1

tftp> quit

Wait one minute and restart the box by disconnecting and reconnecting power. Some documentations claim that the device should restart by itself but I have never seen this happen, no matter how long I wait.
