oh ? bro you are using d600 now ?
*
its my company gear. Im still on d300 but using d600 when got chance.

QUOTE(ijnek @ Dec 4 2012, 09:48 PM)
i'm usin d600.
the magic number of shots seems to be 3000, after that the dust doesn't seem to increase anymore and gone.

get 1, be trigger happy and send ur d600 to be clean when u pass 3000 shots.

if u worry too much, u wun know what u r missing
*
really? we have past 3k already, but have not sent it for cleaning. But now develop strange noises when focus. hmm.gif tested a few lens still same, so guessing something is wrong with our d600.

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Dec 4 2012, 10:05 PM)
what did he say is true.
my d600 100 shots already show dust, i didn't even change lens lol
hold your horse first, let nikon come out a solution then only buy the later batch one.

I shoot landscape quite often(f11 or smaller), cloning off the dusts is annoying  doh.gif

Having dust spots on D600 is not a big issue IMO, so far my usual supplier told me 3 of his customers reported their D600 having line on their images!

But they most likely can get a replacement unit.
You cant get that for dust issue.
The best they can do is foc sensor cleaning.

D600 = Dust600 doh.gif

Doesn't matter because all D600 is affected by the dust due to design flaw... but whoever kena the sensor issue --> suay.

FF for shooting at Sepang? You need a telephoto lens for sure... 70-300mm range at least.

QUOTE(tongweng @ Dec 4 2012, 09:46 PM)
just now i was using M mode to take that picture...i guess i should off the Exposure Mode first? cause when i zoom in everything change..
*
Because your lens is variable aperture, e.g. f/3.5-5.6
which means, it's not fixed and as you zoom the f number will increase.
Your kit lens 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 means at 18mm the max aperture is f/3.5 and at 105mm, the max aperture will be at f/5.6
If you're using "M" mode, shutter speed or ISO will not compensate for the aperture changes, so if you zoom and the aperture changed, your exposure will no longer be the same, for this situation you can use other mode like "A" (Aperture Priority) mode; not sure if Auto-ISO can work in "M" mode for this as I haven't really tried before or forgotten.

When using Auto-ISO, you can set the minimum shutter speed and maximum ISO. Set a minimum shutter speed so that the camera won't use below the minimum shutter speed specified until the maximum specified ISO is reach. Meaning that, if you set min shutter speed of 1/80, the camera will first use shutter speed for the exposure and if 1/80 is not enough, it will then start increasing ISO. If the maximum ISO specified is reach and still no proper exposure, it will then lowers the shutter speed further. You can also set the base ISO while you're shooting.

In regard to the exposure, the default metering used will be Matrix Metering which should work for most general situation. You can experiment and learn this later. Basically the metering will show you what the camera thinks is the proper exposure for the scene.

This is the most ridicuous thing I have ever heard from a camera company. I love Nikon but don't see how Nikon can sell a $2,000 with such a problem. More ridiculous are all the people that are buying the D600 knowing this is an issue.

Yeap, its harder to fill the frame when panning... but from experience, you cannot be continuously bursting... my limit is probably one to three shots in a go before I loose focus and then accidentally cropping the edges.

400mm at DX mode... 600mm equivalent tongue.gif I think this one probably cropped a little bit?

Again, did you do any micro adjust on the lens? My 35mm required about -8 micro adjust as well else all of them would be blur! Then again when I tried my 35mm on 2 other D800, it had different offset value.. one is -15 another is -3 only.
