obviously doesnt have to be wide open or high iso, just depends on how long exposure u want.
u can very well stick to iso100 and stop down ur lens...but u think u want to wait maybe 3mins? tongue.gif

never used the sigma but have used the tammy. its a good lens considering the price but because of the price, it has its own drawbacks.
the thing that annoyed me the most was its damn focusing speed. it will always hunt around abit then it will get focus. and IMO its abit soft at 2.8, step down abit then ok edi lah. but all in all, great bargain for its price

Sigma isn't exactly very fast either, so Tammy is very worth the price, especially the non-VC version.

The issue is the focusing speed and accuracy, but that also depends on what the person use the lens for. For general use, it's good enough. For Weddings, it's usable but better if have a more reliable, accurate and faster focusing lens.

Overall, it's good enough for general use. Just the focusing speed and accuracy, for important or action scene, you may get much more less usable or spot on shot, which is more important if you're using it for a job.

Taken with Tammy:

agreed that VC is not needed at all. i own the VC one last time but most of the time i off it because if u not wait the VC settle down n take picture, it will make the picture blur.
also the VC one is bulky and heavy and also expensive.

some1 posted a video of d600 issue again but this time, he bought a brand new d600, point it to a white wall and shot 1000 frames at f16. can see the dust appearing even though he never change lens.
