Your commonsense I m afraid is not so common
The note 2 battery life is at least twice that of S3
Ask any S3 users who is now using note 2 now
Onscreen time easily 8-9 hours
*
how about the os part, I suspect the stock OS in Note2 is more optimized compare to S3 (JB vs JB)?

last time, I tried to restore my custom rom message backup (from G.B 2.3.7 csl mi300/x8 ICS 4.0 custom rom via titanium backup) to my s3, it crash and having the same error, I resolved it by factory reset.

One thing we can thumb nose at Note2 is...our screen is a tad more sharp and crisper.

i think it's because of the reduction of the processor core when you on power saving. check out my post above.

i did untick the cpu power saving in the power saving setting, i just tick on screen power saving and background colour.

I don't think we should compare note 2 with S3 furthermore both have own strengths and weakness blush.gif

At the end it's still "SAMSUNG" product anyway why fighting each other ownself? sweat.gif

Anyway i am happy with my S3.... rclxms.gif

I usually get 5hrs and 30min+ with less than 10% of battery left but with JB on its first day i get almost 1hr extra on screen time with more than 15% of battery left. Good day smile.gif

Each of us have different way of using our smartphones, some will use it more to talk/sms, some more on games, some for browsing, fb, snapping photos, messaging etc. Some might have bad network connection, some might have wifi connection all day. So each of us will have different battery consumption. We're talking from our experience and what shown on our phone .. so, please, don't say that we're talking trash ..

They're not spamming, they just being worried .. my first day with JB is the same as many of them, the battery lasted less than when I'm on ICS.. same usage pattern. Some have found out that Google Now might contribute to the problem and suggested to turn it off .. etc. One thing though, JB & ICS might have different processes running in background and might take a bit more out of the juice.

I agree with you..... everyone use the phone differently giving different result... but even if can simulate the same behavour, same use and same software use the result may different and the end... Cause the phone itself could make the different...
