The note 2 battery life is at least twice that of S3

Onscreen time easily 8-9 hours

After I used triangle away, i protected the root with OTA rootkeeper . After the official jb update, I restored root with ota rootkeeper.

I just checked the status just now, it's Samsung official, no 'modified' status detected

For those thinking of changing from s3 to note 2 purely for battery reasons i got this calculations based on twch radar's batery comparison

Extrapolated, note 2 battery lasts 9.75 percent longer than s3, despite a battery thats 50 percent bigger than the s3. I believe the extra percentages were due to the larger screen. Therefore at full charge if u take both phones and play the same game until the battery drains the note 2 will last 9.7 percent longer. However because noones gonna do that (use the screen for the full 100 percent) and since its the main battery drainer, on a normal usage the note 2 battery will last much longer than the extrapolated 9.7 percent as trickle usage during deep sleep would not be affected by screen size. Because tje screen is off most of the time. So for heavy usage the battery difference will between two device will be smaller compared to an average user. To find out how much more hours u will get if u change phone in terms of percentage use the following formula

Use a batterystatss monitor to find out how many percentage of time is your phone screen on relative to jow long your phone has been discharging

Eg if its on 50% of the time :

50% x 796.3 = z

(1000 - z)/2100 times 100% = the increased percentage of hours your phone has upgrading from s3 to note 2, if all else are equal.

u want good battery life , get iPhone ! easily smoke android OS phone for sure !else , get a battery pack

charge whenever its battery low. easy and to make ur life simple. carry a charger anywhere u go .

disable any animation on ur phone and do not use live wallpaper to save battery. lower ur brightness of phone screen....kill unused apps....

if ur battery life still sucks , go claim a new battery.probably its spoilt !

but with juice defender , it can enable 3g whenever u need only... but of course , if u on and off 3g data by urself , it will b more battery saving

U no need to believe me. Go ask note 2 users. Bsicallyi chip more efficient n cos jb. Your logic though is logical but incorrect. Buy n test yourself. I have been using it nearly a month n is consistent
It is average 5 degree cooler vs S3 n S2 most tasks

Well..S3 can never beat Note2..period.
We only recently receive JB but still not fully optimized yet. A few more updates then S3 will be much smoother like baby bottom. Have some patience and just enjoy what we have now. And dont forget JB 4.2 is coming early next year
