Well..S3 can never beat Note2..period.
We only recently receive JB but still not fully optimized yet. A few more updates then S3 will be much smoother like baby bottom. Have some patience and just enjoy what we have now. And dont forget JB 4.2 is coming early next year

8-9hours ? seriously ? no way man... pls check carefully... the 3100mAh is to compensate the big screen ! if they use 2100mAh on 5.5" screen , i believe note2 sure mad at Samsung !
u want good battery life , get iPhone ! easily smoke android OS phone for sure !else , get a battery pack

anyone have an idea why after i upgrade to JB, i cant open messaging. there is an error message when i open, "unfortunately, messaging has stopped". anyone face this issue?

The note 2 battery life is at least twice that of S3
Ask any S3 users who is now using note 2 now
Onscreen time easily 8-9 hours

i did not do any backup before update because my backup stuck half way. i update to JB last monday, but only today it show that error message...

One thing we can thumb nose at Note2 is...our screen is a tad more sharp and crisper.

u mean the silver bits? nope. they say got to replace on your own... cos the thing stuck to the screen so you got to buy the screen as well.

Yes me success claims warranty for hairline crack from SC 2 month ago. Just bla bla to them. Also depend on your luck and how you talk to the cs.

they classified my case as screen problem because the body is attach to the screen so the change new screen for me. they took two working days to repair/replace for my case.. good luck 

me unrooted it and factory reset b4 send.. to be safe  . they will change back the same color ... just take out sim card and sd card. 

Wat u done at ur phone (i means u wanna upgrade or backup is it)
