Try this: http://www.service.asus.com/#!Tablet%20Warranty/ctzm OR http://www.service.asus.com/warranty.aspx#...20Warranty/ctzm

Of course, the links above are applicable for the N7 bought in the USA only

ahh I see, so Malaysia's eligible for it?

Don't feel like waiting for 2 weeks without a tablet, I can't rely on my smartphone for my webbrowsing needs and what not.

A noob question about android though, is it possible for me to store some apps in a usb pendrive and swap it for the apps I currently have on the tablet via an OTG cable? 16GB doesn't seem like alot...

Are apps in android more storage heavy compared to apple?

Nexus 7. Especially if you watch youtube a lot. After all, who owns youtube? rclxms.gif In addition, it is so much easier to get your media stuff onto a Nexus 7. With an iPad, every damn thing must go through iTunes. Nexus 7, with the Android OS, is just so much more flexible.

Of course get Nexus 7, although I don't own one.
Why you should get?
1. Nexus devices will always be updated to the latest version, as long as Android supports.
2. Youtube on Android is just one-click away. Easy.
3. Nexus 7 is better than iPad mini (look at display section). Check here.
4. Nexus 7 is powered by quad-core NVIDIA Tegra. iPad mini is only how many cores? 2 only. And not only that, Nexus 7 is faster too! 1GB RAM vs 500MB RAM. Ownage!
5. Lastly, this is Android forum. Of course Android devices are the best!

The only drawback I think is relevant is the lack of space and microSD slot. Honestly, the lack of camera has no negative effect on my mental health as shown by many critics. In fact, it's better this way. With my iPad I constantly am very aware of the lens so I don't dirty it while handling. Yyou'd look pretty silly holding a heavy device over to take a picture. Reminded myself of a wedding. I was next to the VIP table and there's this lady came all the way up to take pictures with her iPad. She looked so ridiculous compared to the other photographers I couldnt help laughing loudly.

Yeah..I am very aware about that. But have you watched the video that i post earlier?

From the video, you can see that he has a point. It's not about taking good quality picture. There are many other things for that purpose. It's about the convenience of having one.

Yes and I still am not moved. You asked for feedback and I gave you mine. You don't have to take mine as an absolute. If someone can't live without the convenience of a rear camera, by all means there's other alternatives. However that convenient camera that you may or may not use, is one of the reasons why N7 is way cheaper than other tablets while still sporting high scores on practical operation benchmark.

I know it's awesome to have a device that can do everything you want to. But lets be realistic and ask yourself what do you really want to do with a tablet on a daily basis?

The following is a couple of appsI use regularly.
- Web browsing
- Pinterest
- Pulse
- Flipboard ( this really looks awesome on N7 )
- Mantano Reader ( compared to alkido this is better )
- Mango
- Manga Watcher
- Moboplayer/MX Player combo ES Explorer ( watch movies/anime/TV )
- fPSe + USB gamepad ( PSX games )
- GBA.EMU
- Gaming cheat apps ( need root )
- Sygic GPS
- Evernote
- Polaris

N7 is an awesome device as it is and the above fills in every requirement I needed in a tablet. As I said earlier the only nagging issue is the lack of space, which I've solved with a fileserver. Basically my big files is to watch movies while I shit. So yeah

Think this way, U bring ur tablet to ur friends house/college/office, they copy movie straight into your n7, or ur pendrive, which u can connect to ur n7 and watch on the spot

Or

u go copy from ur friend to ur pendrive, then take it home or u have to on ur laptop then connect then on itunes or maybe need convert format then connect to ipad then watch

Planning to sell off my iPad 3 for this 7 inch beauty.

Is the screen reso good enough? (comparable to iPad 2nd gen?)

Retina display is good, but it's so heavy and big that I only use it when I'm bored and can't bring it around too much.

he does have a point, but based on most of the example he pointed out, only 1 i agree with him which is while you are typing a blog post and want to attach a photo of that moment into the post, undoubtedly it would be really convenient to have a rear camera.

For all his other examples, it would be more convenient to use your smartphone camera. Eg, scanning barcode/qr during shopping , i rather take out my phone and do the job rather than take out the tab to do it. Don't tell me you hold your tab all the time while shopping right? it would either in a bag or something.

Oh ya, if you don't have a smartphone then what i say above is not valid tongue.gif

I'm ordering the 32gb one from Newegg too. They do the bulk for us, saves us the time and trouble. Just that have to wait 2 weeks. And they've got more reliable customer service I think (quick responses from them). Did a pre-order from this forum once and I deeply regretted.

I'm excited to get my first Android tablet (N7 32GB from NEWEGG as well) - while Android tablet apps are a bit hit and miss, I'm sticking to a specific role for this tablet and keep different tasks to my fruit-labelled phone and computer.

What's not fun is looking at the crappy selection of cases that is available locally - I'm not duly impressed with what is in Lowyat forum right now so does anyone who currently HAVE a Nexus 7 chime in and let us future owners your recommendations?

So, the best way for now to get the 32GB one is to order from newegg?
