Jpaq,
If you would like to have a brand new out-of-the-box experience then be prepared for the item to be queried - this of course depends on how the item is presented / or not when your relative brings the item in?

Make your life easier by unboxing the item, dress it up in a case (get it there in the US cos the selections here in KL is still rather....... thin) and says (if asked) its a used item. Nuff said.

Others might want to offer more opinions.....

Dear successful buyers of Nexus 7 tablets who bought from NEWEGG,

Can you let us know how the process went and how painless/frustrating/fast/slow it was to order from them (who is them actually? do you liase with a person, a website or ???)?

As for the time being I am one of the 6,321 (and less) people who do not have a FACEBOOK account how do I go about in terms of payment (besides PayPal), tracking / delivery?

Thanks y'all....

I'm excited to get my first Android tablet (N7 32GB from NEWEGG as well) - while Android tablet apps are a bit hit and miss, I'm sticking to a specific role for this tablet and keep different tasks to my fruit-labelled phone and computer.

What's not fun is looking at the crappy selection of cases that is available locally - I'm not duly impressed with what is in Lowyat forum right now so does anyone who currently HAVE a Nexus 7 chime in and let us future owners your recommendations?

If you are patient and able to wait for a few days / weeks, more vendors will bring this model in - its inevitable.

If you have no patience, wants things immediately, and no desire to walk into a store to pay cash for this then yes, NEWEGG is a pretty good option.

QUOTE(apecx92 @ Nov 2 2012, 06:52 PM)

If you have not received any response from then by now, a good guess is that have gone for the weekend. My interaction with them via email either early in the morning or durin lunch hour this week was usually replied within an hour or so. It looks like a Monday then as I glanced somewhere in NEWEGG US website that they only fulfill orders during weekdays and not weekends.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

apecx92,

Can you be more explicit?.....

Bank ref. no is generated once you successfully transferred the amount to NEWEGG's bank account (in this case it is a Public Bank acc).

Payment amount - self explanatory - the amount you bank it to their Public Bank Account.

Invoice no is already given prior after filling up that form in Facebook. Just repeat the invoice no so they can match which order goes to whom have paid the amount (and what items)....

Hope this is clear.....

Ok I get what you mean... different banks have different ways of saying it...

Bank reference no. means a number that records the transaction - different banks use different terminology. Once your payment is through, the proceeding webpage should provide you with one.

If you skipped that page or missed it, dig through through the transaction history page (I am saying in general terms here) that you use for transferring your money to NEWEGG's account and it should still show you some sort of reference no...

If you still cannot find this number, just provide your bank account number and name as they can see which account/name deposited the money.

Again, hope this helps.

Holy crap... that statement alone would have save me some time typing all this shite smile.gif

For cash deposit machine, the deposit receipt is the PROOF.

Scan it OR snap a pic with your phone to show them as proof of deposit.

After that, destroy the receipt....

JUST KIDDING... keep receipt as proof and your reference that you have deposited the money.

Email NEWEGG and tell them that you made a CASH DEPOSIT or they will get confused as I was.

Ask to confirm that payment has received.

Then sit back, wait 2 weeks or like me... lurk around this thread.

Yep exactly....

Just in time for 4.2 to appear.... so the first thing I will do (besides charging it) is to update to 4.2.

Super excited into my first experience in an Android device!

Yep, I noticed that the ASUS charger output says 5V /2A... I got a few third party USB charger to test tonight at home to see if I can charge this thing up....

My N7 came in with 54% charged up and it took about 3 hours to reach 100%.
