I've been using both dice and MX player for watching movies. WHile I was trying out Dice player on a 720p movie, with the default settings, the sound became 'robotic'. I notice that happen for a several split seconds while I was playing Mass Effect too.

However playing the same video on MX player with h/w + codec, seems fine. I hope its not the speaker's problem.

pre-ordered my at Sen Heng Taipan branch. but no word on the casing though. they were quite confused on the pricing, whether there was a RM 50 rebate or not. turned out there isn't, so price is still RM 1,099.

I suppose the RM50 discount only applies for the Nexus 7 without 3G model only as per the brochure. The casing should come with the device as represented by the shop assistant to me.

Anyone here tried to upgrade their N7 to 4.2.1 or something else other than 4.2? I got the system update on the notification, but I'm scared to upgrade it, heard of too many cases saying 4.2.1 sucks.

h/w + codec uses the Tegra chip to do the coding & decoding, so it is definitely more powerful compared to original settings (I assume it would be software decoding)

yes..for any item which more than rm500 except apple product.. if you do not receive it, just tell them and ask them direct deduct from their system..i normally do that..

Is the sticker behind my n7 imporrtant? Mine is gonna peel off because im using without cover. Can i peel it off and store it somewhere more safer?

This is a very silly thought. Not all hardware decoding works like charm as if it were a Samsung Galaxy S or Note series.
