Mmm.. you better try it on 1st... My company usually gave a sample for each size.... then again... the leg will always need to be cut for ur size... so u better get the right size.. or you will be sorry >.<

Ok.. i already have 10 years of Experience in O&G, working in malaysia... Bintulu & Kerteh. Most of the Company here will only hire Experience Worker... 5 years & above... Coz' i have my Junior from my previous company try on the interview with the Saudi company.. they rejected him right away coz' hes only have 3 years of experience.
How i got into O&G.... i was already been sponsored by Petronas during my studies.

I hope you will get into O&G... coz' the Pay is High. Even here.... Malaysian will get the highest Salary Rate compare to Indonesian, Pinoy & Indian. 

They E&I la.... they will accept E&E grads provided your result is good enough 1st or 2nd class OR have some working experience in related field.

okies.. mayb saudi is not so hostile
but u wont be mingling with d locals much right considering d job is in d field...  i have got military training b4 so i should be fine

I need some help...
Recently I just got a job in O&G and will be positioned in Labuan. My new employer request me to submit my coverall size for ordering. I have trouble to choose correct coverall size for me as the coverall (Nomex) specification is different from local size standard. I am a guy with 5ft 6inch tall.

So I need recommendation or guide especially from anyone from O&G in this forum whom ever wear coverall from Nomex.

Mmm may i know what part of Saudi did ur friend work... coz' where im working.... its was not that busy.... everything was going slow & steady.... And on my off days i can go shopping .. etc at town... AL-Khobar, Dhahran.. it has a Shopping Mall that is 3 times bigger than the Mid Valley Megamall. Or i can go to Bahrain... its just 10 minutes from Al-Khobar. The main problem is the weather... now its started to get cold.... it can go to 5 DegC + Wind. And on June.. it will start to get Real Hot here....  50 DegC. 

hi guys, I am a mechanical student. I am going to do my intern coming may.I am interested in O n G field. I just applied to few company like Sime Darby, Technip. I have waited for few days. How long do I need to wait till they reply normally? I applied to them through email and online. Anybody here got lubang or company to recommend me? I am trying to apply for Exxonmobile and Shell. But they did not have any position related to internship in their website. Is there any other way to apply? Like sending mail to them?

well, i did post a few question early day (Before graduate), many thanks to those who replied my questions. I was recently graduated from MSc(Eng)Control System (which is emphasis on system modelling and control design) and BSc(hons)Instrumentation (Sorry to mention again, easier to those didnt follow the previous posts), and my questions are:

1. Previous advices, I should rather join Yokagawa, Emerson likes company in order to gain more experiences before joining OnG industries. What is the role and job scope of an Instrumentation and control system engineer in OnG? act as process engineer? Do Instrumentation and control system engineer have the opportunity to work offshore? Yes, maintenance or project delivery for operators, field engineers for service providers like Yoko, Emerson, etc

2. I love to working offshore (very challenging and exciting environment) or hand-on practical experience rather than work in office designing (which is contrast to my qualifications), and willing to learn. Do i need to undertake short course in order to fullfill my dream? is there any short course out there ?Hands-on can mean troubleshooting, commissioning, installation etc. Take your pick

3.  As come across the posts, in order to have bright future in OnG, and have the most of knowledge regarding oil field, work in service company is the better option compare to consultant. Is that right? Normally consultant company seldom hire fresh grads, am i right? Most consultants that i have came across, like RWP, Aker, MMC, etc involve more on BFD (paper design)

4. Should fresh grad apply for the job require years experiences? since freshgrad should keep on trying their luck on applying job? will this actions will lead to bad impression to the HR ppl?Apply for companies that have good graduate development program

5. I wish to join as a Graduate in OnG company, since i have no experience and wish to have extensive of training, but lots of the companies stated in this thread hire specific position. Any recomendation company for graduate position? except SHELL,EXXON, PETRONAS, Schlumberger, Baker Huges, BJ, Haliburton....
(failed during SRD for a position of Global solution graduate, sad.. )Those co you've listed do posses good graduate program... Shell GSI is like the consulting arm for Shell.Its harder to get into. Try graduate program for Shell EPA ( in Miri, tho)

6. Anyone work in MOX? How was the working environment?graduates will be trained? how much the pay for fresh?

shell used to take in interns, so does petronas and schlumberger; you could try checking the shell website

sime darby builds rigs; they have a ship yard,  but i dont think they actually operate . . .

btw, usually its more common you wait for a few months than a few days for a reply

hey guys, i'am about to graduate with B.eng (materials)..in which i learned about corrosion & protection, NDT, X-Rays, Surface etc..

it is easy to join this industry? since i don't have 'cable' and my cgpa only 2.5 huhu

are there other company that i should apply for this job other that shell, petronas, exxon mobil, n other big oil company? i mean easier to apply rather than those big company..

should i take prof. certs in NDT or industrial safety before applying position as engineer in this industry? 

i not sure about this, but will they want to see my final year project during interview? because my FYP is about solar cell and semiconductor..

i plan to join INSEP (oil & gas), which i'll try to make it as my industrial training (6 month)..does this cert from INSEP will help me a lot in finding O&G job? because i'll undergo 3 month of tutorial class n 3 month training offshore

CGPA 2.5 i doubt there is much chance to join shell as an engineer ... technician maybe still can la . . .
