I've sent my application like 2 years ago and still I am not contacted. Guess that my qualifications aren't good enough. I have a bachelor degree in electronics.

You will need some luck to get a chance to interview.... Its never easy to get into oil and gas company unless u know someone inside the company.

I'm attending for FE's First/Group Interview at Rohas Perkasa tomorrow morning. Any tips that can be shared? I've been longing for the job since way before I graduated. I'm all nervy about the interview and having low self esteem. Help please.

just be confident and tell them why u want the job so much. also, during the group interview/exercise, speak up more but don't go overboard, at least give your suggestions. don't be just a silent contributor.

can anyone tell me how's the format for the interview?

I heard it started of with written exam(Physics, Maths and possibly Chem for SPM Level), if only you managed to pass the exam you'll grouped and you're given a task e.g. making flashlight, build a rig and etc. after that you'll be sitting down for an individual interview?

can anyone clarify on this? esp. the written exam part?

hmm funny how could you have degree in electronic eng but majoring in comp eng? i though those are separate degree by itself? do you mean degree in electric eng with a minor in comp eng?

but to answer your question, yeap you could go into o&g. i believe the typical position offered to ee is wireline.
*
It is something like eletrical and eletronics. The diff are i learned basic of e&e and more detailed into computing.

Might be true coz I have a friend working with Carigali-Hess saying the same thing. According to him, they are trying to pull out "family connections".
