I got news from my friend who has a friend working with a telco that the 5 is launching next friday. My friend already got the que number and he is 5th on the line.

Guys,
I'm not here to offend anyone and im not gonna reveal my identity but just to let you know Iphone 5 will not be launching in Malaysia in Oct. It will be launched in November only and most likely would be somewhere mid of november. My apologise for destroying all your hopes as i myself am eagerly waiting for the iphone 5 but this is the truth and fact. Due to stock ready for third round release and official approval by apple. The launching will not happen if only stock ready for Malaysia only. It must ready for all third round country. So .. U can guess whos the third round country.

Normally before new iPhone launch at Malaysia , maxis will sent out som email to their Vvip customer for them to book it, so far haven't receive it .

Hello guys! Chill out! I don't have to prove anything at all. I didn't say it's Maxis. It can be any telco, but the insider is giving the que number to my friend because they are good friends. It might be true or it might not be. Its still a week away so anything can happen between now and then.
I am just sharing what I learn from my very close friend. I am looking to buy one for my wife too but it so happen I am out of town next friday. |

Too many info without relaiable source la. As for me, i do not think its going to be on the 26th oct. why do u ask? Simple really, if u follow the pattern of the iphone 3gs to iphone 4s last year u should know why. One thing that makes me confident that there will be no launching on 26th oct is no news about it till now. Remember last time? They send us invitations to tell us its going to be soon right? Remember how long it took that time? If im not mistaken its around 2-3weeks before the launching.
Now that would not be true but the experiences of the last launching telling me its not going to be anytime soon. IMHO, i do think its going to be on November 2012 the earliest or Disember 2012 the latest. However in this case, i really hope that im wrong. |

I was contacted in early october to be a promoter for the 19th october i5 launch. My friend working in Digi Store in JB told me also tentatively 19th. When it was nearing the 19th, I asked my JB friend again, he said HQ has ordered the launch to be postponed to 26th, but plans will only be made known to employees on 25th, after 6 pm (and he was informed to wake at 7am on the 26th morning.) Getting nearer to the date, i asked him again is it going to delay very long. He said it has been confirmed and set in motion for 2nd november launch, he said "confirmed".. Plans are the same but pricing might differ, but he said all the telcos are mad competitive now but directions from Telco state clearly 2nd november.. Today, I received an inbox from my earlier friend saying "regarding the maxis launchng thing, they delayed the launching date, cause they wana wait for digi, and celcom to launch together." because i asked her a week ago if my friend can work since he's looking for part time job. Same goes for telco.Dunno about clearing stock or not. Even Digi can't order iPhone 4S thru online anymore. One may deduce that either their current stocks are limited or they're self-imposing limit on orders. And that's also about Apple making way for single SKU to be the only one available for telcos which is the 16 gigger, like Apple Online Store currently does. Again take example of Digi, they dont have 16GB units being advertised. |

I doubt our Malaysian Apple online stores will sell the iPhone 5. Usually telcos will be the priority distributors for the iPhones, unless a new models comes out then they will sell the previous model in the Apple website store.
Apple's convo should be tonight, midnight our time. Launch of the new iMac, iPad Mini and new 13inch RMB. |

now is the time to save more more money for its expansive screen protector, accessories, case and so on... then buy it after CNY, or before if you wannt show off why? because: 1. you can save money, and look at the local review first 2. no need queue, MAYBE 3. MIGHT got RM300 subsidy from government 4. got cash in from CNY angpau as second subsidy! total saved RM500 |

If u guys know mandarin, I'm pretty sure we always get the batch same as Taiwan and many more countries, google search there're plenty of news reporting the iPhone 5 will only launch there either mid-nov or early dec!!

Yesterday I had lunch with a Fren and she was so confidence to say that today is the launching date for iPhone 5 maxis. I think maybe she read from here that's why so confidence. See what those fake rumors spreader had created.... I believe she is not bluffing but she just kena bluff only.

With all the 3 main Thailand telcos started their ROI from today until 28Oct and stating that pre-order starts from 30Oct with delivery/launch on 02Nov, Malaysia should follow suit.
Based on past years trend and stats, Thailand always launch theirs the same time with or after Malaysia. With the above, it is strongly believed that ROI should start today or within these few days. |

I just laugh at those ppl post source from grandpa grandma uncle auntie high management high aero plane. Their friend or relative or him/her driving most big car in world, car big cannon. Confirm what roi and this and that.
In my mind, just thinking what Malaysia telco do. If they release on the same date, no people wanna buy note 2 ready, telco bring in note 2 have no choice they sign package with Samsung. Need hit target. Telco only care to earn money, didn't care how long you wait, cause u still will buy, for those purchase other county I dare to say less than 10% customer gone only for them. |

Normally ROI two weeks before official launching. Slot booking on launching event one week before official launching. If ROI on Monday onward, then how about slot booking invitation email, directly send to customer after ROI end, perhaps Wed, then Friday launching, too rush dy. |

You can buy 64GB directly without waiting. I guess most of the buyers will hunt for 32GB. Thats why 32GB has very limited stocks. My sister who is studying in Manchester was bought iPhone 5 64GB directly from the Apple store and she was told my mum that 32GB iPhone 5 was out of stock due to high demand.
