Like I always say next week ppl will say "I have a friend who works in Maxis at higher management say the iPhone 5 will launch at 2nd November" and so on till the iPhone 5 really launch. Guys pls be responsible on what u say. Don't say just bcos of trolling...

telcos will have to agree on the basic phone price by apple.
dont say as if u know wat u r saying.
they can only overcharge u on their plans.

Previous iphone4s and ipad is selling cheaper compare to Singapore. A lot singaporen don't mind travel down to get slightly cheaper idevice

Since 3GS in maxis, the pricing never change. what change is only the older version price went down and the new replace the old one. Thats all

Well, jz wanna say something... Maybe u all didn't hear radio in the morning... It was mentioned that apple resellers in Malaysia has informed Malay mail that iPhone 5, iPad mini and the latest iPad will not... I repeat... They will not launch in Malaysia until jan next year due to apple needing to meet the supply for the holiday season... This is real fact and I'm not making uncle or aunty stories...

but when iphone5s or wadever comes out and replaces iphone5 , we still have to wait for months (like what we're doing now) . isn't it the same ? it's like a vicious cycle 

Malaysia has approved the 2600Mhz spectrum for LTE aka 4G connectivity and is supposed to be supplemented by the 1800Mhz (still sort-of unconfirmed) spectrum.

Generally the higher the frequency used, the worse it is for coverage as the shorter wavelength means propagation over obstacles and ionosphere reflection is hampered. In the States, where carriers fight over coverage and the population are generally spread apart especially in Central America, lower frequencies used by carriers like Verizon Wireless actually do help to cover more zones with less base stations. Also, lower frequencies help in-door coverage and (not sure about this) helps on device battery life. That's why there are efforts now in the States to harvest back low frequency spectrums for LTE.

Higher frequencies on the other hand have better speeds thus more suited for urban areas. In smaller countries like Britain (EE) and Singapore (Singtel), 1800Mhz band 3 is the preferred frequency.

Unfortunately for us, we are mostly stuck with band 7 aka 2600Mhz spectrum which kinda sucks since device support is still limited. FYI, none of the current iPhone 5 SKUs support band 7 so all the rumours of telcos waiting for LTE+iPhone5 concurrent launches are not true.
