this is because apple has country list where they will shipped and officially release for certain countries...

for Malaysia.. even if Malaysia stock arrived already.. it wont sell until apple give the green light to sell..

actually not maxis... but Samsung try to steal iphone spotlight so they release it early and want to attract more people buy note 2 and ditch the iphone 5... good strategy but iphone still most anticipated... it's all about business..
