Woohoo! Collected my aqua mica! Had driven a number of cars, but driving a HSD is totally a whole new experience!

found something special while driving in the rain. as usual, i off aircon and left the blower on with highest fan speed, the aircon temperature i set 27 degree. outside temperature should be around 22 degree.

i notice the air (without aircon switch on) from the blower are hot one. when i turn it to hi, the air is much more hot and the air all focus on the leg side. i cannot tahan the heat so i turn the temperature to 23 degree, and i notice the air is cooler than the 27 degree that i set earlier.

suppose if i off the AC button, the aircon should not working.. i slightly feel my fuel consumption is higher for this drive as well.. could it be the PC will switch on the heater when the inside car temperature is lower?

usually the drive i get in normal weather should be 28km/l, but just now i only get 23km/l

of course 23 degree is cooler then 27 degree..

The drag on the wheel is higher on wet road, therefore bad FC.

Normally if aircon buttons off, it will draw air from outside, but if the air is being drawn near the engine, it will be warm.

Questions:
1) can anyone advise where to do "auto central lock" when the car started to move? If possible, the one approved and not void warranty. I fear the security of my wife and kids la since few cases oledi nearby my residential;

2) anyone know whether "getah" from mangga tree stick on my white PC can be removed with a simple polish job? Feel like cutting the tree as my other car is black!

IMHO, unless the autolock locks when applying brake even before the car moves, habitual central locking manually once everyone is in the car is safer, compared to autolock only when the car starts moving @ low speed. Autolock @ low speed still provides the robbers a window period, in between of u in the car and autolock @ low speed (before the car hits eg 20 kmph)

Yes it is true. It's just a matter of habit. I've been locking it manually and has become a habit immediately after I close my door.

Hi to all Prius C owners,

Just got a few questions for you guys. Before I go and book one.

1) Can it handler less then half a feet height of flood water on the road? coz I concern about the location of the battery (maybe this a stupid question)...
2) Travel on highway, does it have the wobble feeling like kancil when a heavy lorry pass by?
3) The foot space at the back row seat is it comfortable for the passengers to travel outstation?
4) How's the power? slow pick up after traffic light stop?
5) I saw a lots of review mention that the back row seat is suitable for 2 person only, coz the middle seat is not really comfortable due to the spacious, is that true?

While i can agree to your rationale, how would the driver manually lock the back 2 doors? For front passenger, still can become plasticman la....hehehe. Any idea how you guys did it, unless you all travel in full capacity la.

Anyway, i remember in V1 thread i did read some postings about this autolock and the need to install some kind of a "switch". Just wonder who amongst us who have done it and where.

To summarise all your questions, drop by the nearest toyota showroom for a quick test drive. Since now is the monsoon season, make sure you come during heavy rain and you test yourself la whether the water will go into the cabin...imho, i can assure you that Prius C fits in between a group of fiesta, mazda 3, swift and another group of vw polo and peugeot 308.

You wont go wrong with Prius C...trust me coming from someone who has driven the like of Alfa, VW and Mercedes.

I do not think the heater will operate when only the fan is running. The air is hot because of air recirculation. We exhale hot air and naturally the air gets warmer over time. If you allow air from outside to come in by turning off the air recirculation switch, it will not be hot but could be smelly.

Actually I did visit for a test drive on a sunny day a couple days back. As usual, everything happen so fast and before I notice anything the test was over. It was very tempting to book it as there is a promotion starting this month until end of the year, as the SA told me that's a RM3k off for Prius C and RM2k off for Prius. Anyway next weekend I will be going back for another appointment to test drive the Prius, maybe at the same time I try to ask the SA for another test drive on the Prius C again. The only thing is holding me back is the trade in for my current car is very low, so I am trying to maths out the cost of this hybrid car down-payment and instalment. I still can't make up my mind to go for this or the Prius. And in between this two prices, there are others hybrid car which is not a full hybrid. I don't want to regret getting the wrong one later on. Any thought guys??

Currently I don't see much of the PC on the road at klang valley, did saw one last week on NPE in the morning but haven't seen one after then. Maybe everyone are still waiting for their unit to arrive. Cheers!!!

PC is however more expensive than Vios, City, Forte, Fiesta, Inspira, Preve, Elantra and new model this year. Every car has to be imported from Japan. Thus you don't see it many on the road. It was the same last time when Prius was newly launched.

I get my car a month ago and I have no regret. If i have more $, of course I will go for Prius for better space. Hopefully the Prius V is coming.

1. Just ask the SA. Or, you can test drive it in a half foot flood. If the back cabin remains dry, means the water won't go into the battery (cause there's an air vent connecting both)

2. Definitely NO. And it's more stable in high speed that you would expect for such size.

3. Foot space is enough for outstation travel. Just don't carry Yao Ming...

4. By black and white 0-100 kmph, mazda2 10.2, mini cooper 10.4, PC 10.7, myvi 1.5 11.3. honda city 11.5, vios 11.8. Practically I feel enough for me, whatever it is, it is not slow in acceleration.

5. 2 big size fellas, or 3 small-medium size fellas.

I have a plastic man index finger. It's just over 3 inches long, and I can easily lock all doors by pressing one central locking button at the drive's door panel.

Yes. However good the conventional cars I have driven including golf and c-class, driving PC (and I supposed 1.8 prius too) is totally an exceptional experience that those cars won't provide

hi i can suggest u try to sell it yourself the price wont so low.
coz i did my also. i just put at CarList got sell off RM20k. As those 2nd hard car dealer just me around RM17k ++
