Not really . depends.u see eg: Ascott reit. once they announce the RIGHTS. price drop i think 3%...
and spiral downwards from annoncement date.
coz people not happy with the rights.
only now 3 months later. price is close to before they did the RIGHTS thing..
so, maybe the correct method would be to sell like now.. at annoncement and the price is +
but then HANSEL did say.. might fund not via rights...
then if really sell now.. the price might increase further.
not easy to time the market.
However if investing for long term all these are just noises...
for me , i just focus on the yield. anything above 6% i am O.K.
its just that i want to slowly trimm my DBS portfolio. and top up at MKE.
