Hi guys. Went to the Glenmarie SC today as I was given a 9.00AM appointment. Handed the keys & waited for 1.5 hours before someone attended to me. I patiently explained the issue (erratic idling & squeaking on the right side rear wheel area when moving & clutch bearing noise - which might need an MIR) & asked the guy if I can be arranged to talk to the mechanic once he had assessed my car. He said I'll have to either wait until it's my car's turn (don't know how long) OR come back @ 2.30PM and he'll arrange to meet a mechanic. So I took the 2nd option & went back to work.
Came back at 2.30PM, talked to the same guy and handed my keys over. Then I waited.... and waited.... and waited for a good 1.5 hours before he came back with "breaking news", stating that my idling problem "might" be due to the clutch bearing issue ( ). Then he proceeded to tell me they were waiting for me to send the car in for 2 days (with no relieve car possible) before actually checking the issue to make an MIR, then another 1 day to actually fix it. And all this without even touching my car.
When I said I'll deal with CoSE directly, he proceeded to make me wait another hour or so to check the squeaking noise. I called the guy after 10 minutes when I say no one checking up on my car, asked for my keys & left!

Summary:
1) Wasted almost 4 hours waiting for nothing. What's the point of an appointment when you have to wait 1 hour before you're even attended to?!!!
2) Nothing got fixed. Everything have to "refer to HQ". What are they there for anyway? Tukar minyak? That one also have to ask HQ every few minutes maybe?
3) Why can't they update us customers periodically when we're waiting there for hours like idiots?! They have all the time to meander around and peek at other people's car when it's being fixed, but not walk over to the waiting area and take 30 seconds to talk to the customer? Against some policy? OR just plain stupid?

Sorry for ranting here guys, just wanted you guys to know what service I got here so far... Disappointing to say the least...

yeah,i agree,mostly proton sc is suck..so hard to find a good sc around...their working atitude really dissapointed...
or maybe they dunno how to fix preve??...all the mechanic just know to tukar minyak hitam je

Cose also same,some of former having a nightmare there...

still searching for the good sc around...EON sc not bad actually...should give them a try maybe

hmm... for this even you go to cose there is a service representative that attend to your car...you need to keep on bugging him or her for every 10 to 15 minutes to get things done faster. must say it to them you got appointment at 10.00 am or 11.00 am so latest by what time must have someone looks into it let you know estimated time. if you sit there wait and wait....some waited for long time then only get attention. so easier is if you know who is the person attend to your car. keep on bugging that person until get your car issue check. at least you know what is the estimated time your car gonna fix if need to wait or need to put your car there u can know immediately then you got time to plan.

try to take half day or even one day if you want go service center. unless u only go for 5k service or 10 k service the normal car service then within 1 hour or 1.30 hours can settle. (but u must push too)

BTW, agreed that most of Proton SC sucks big time. Only a small chunk of them is good. No problem bro, as long as its Preve related, we're here to listen to u!

Agreed. Last time the late fulat bro did went to EON SC that treated him like human being.. Its in PJ ss13 i think

Glenmarie SC is not EON meh? Anyway, i went there before and i think the issues was not solved. So do not bother going to the glenmarie one folks, those mechanic got uniformed lunch and breakfast time..all ramai-ramai makan. So if you r customer and come early to service....need to wait for them to finish their makan than can start work. Even then, they waste your time becoz all the issues can be easily solved within 1 hour but you need to wait for 2 hours!

So, in the future planning to send the car to SS13 or Setapak instead.

Correct, EON SS13 or Setapak 3S, among the 2 SCs that so far got the good rep nowadays. The other one would be Senawang I think. The one in ss14 PJ solved some of the issues but not all.Back in those days where deepan used to bring his car there. Donno where he is now though..

Waah, still good la if like that. Used to have my autie living in Cheras also but now moved to Kg. Baru Cheras edy. Not too familiar with that area though. U drove here as well? Where did u park ur car?

Monitor it a bit bro. Make sure u have:

1. Used the 3 steps start method
2. Fully pressed the break when u push the start button
3. Release the break only after the engine stabilize/rev down back to 0.9 or 1k..

If still got it consecutively, check is there oil leak or not.. There's one brother here that advised put a cardbox under your car over night to see next day got oil or not.

By the way, I heard that the 'adaptation' we mentioned about previously was actually "clutch adaptation" and it has something to do with the ratio adjustment for CVT 'boxes only, not manuals. This is what I got from the idiots who attended to my car anyway. Anyone can confirm this?

Oh, macam itu, i think your area is heavily populated. I can either tumpang kereta or take LRT from Maluri Station. Car can parking near the neighbourhood around the station. Tried parking in Wilayah Complex....not worth it, took me an hour plus to return home. Take LRT, only have to spend 45 mins.

Oh, never tried park at Wilayah Complex before. Good for u since ur home got LRT access to it bro. Unlucky me then Yup, once stuck in jam for 2 & 1/2 hours for 17km, thats really not worth it.

Wilayah Complex parking is RM7 a day......if park next Dang Wangi station (open air)..only pay RM5.50. Opposite Dang Wangi (Open air) i think is RM6?. If park cap square on monthly rate i think is RM150 that is about RM7.50 per day assuming you work 20 days.

Apa nak buat..KL mana-mana pun jam unless you stay at Cap Square residence

Its the other way around bro. I parked opposite of LRT RM5 per day. The one besides LRT now no longere 5.50, its RM6 per day now. Just saw the signboard yesterday. Hehe
