Even if you called they will not layan you, you will go straight voicemail and they will not call you back.

And Halli will email you if you're unsuccessful, just be patient. Same with other service companies.

Thanks for your advice. It's just that it has already been about two months and the other thing is i'm not sure if i'll jeopardise my own application if in the meantime i apply for another position with Halli. What do you guys think??

Btw, slb did not email me to tell me I was unsuccessful...rather I found out from their career portal. cry.gif

for entry level job the wait is quite long 3-6 months for Halli. If you're freshies and depending on how flexible was your application hopefully it is not too specified for a particular position or interest.

anyway just go ahead and apply the other position if you fit the qualification they are after. If you still want to call HR, just call their head office at KL and ask to be forwarded to the HR department.

Slb has too many good applicants applying.

Hmm... I never know uzma got drilling/wireline department  hmm.gif
As far as i know uzma is consultant company.
Petrofac is operator, uzma is consultant. What do you think?
*
Uzma has a wireline service. Quite competitive I've heard. Then again, I may be biased because the owner is a good friend of mine smile.gif

in Trengganu? why did Najib mentioned 5% royalty will be donate to Pahang then? reported by Bernama IINM.
*
Because he needs to call an election in 5 months time and because he thinks Malaysians are stupid? I dunno, there are so many reasons why he would lie to the rakyat.

Naah. The operator is Lundin. Carigali only has a 25% stake which means they leave it to the JV unit to take care of the assets.

By the way, I did the study on this field before, it's not a new discovery, they must have drilled another well in the other dome. The well in the saddle was wet which reduces the estimated in-place before. I did mentioned in my report that there is opportunity on the still undrilled southern dome.

Ohh PM307 is in Trengganu by the way, it is NOT in Pahang.
*
- i heard its 20% - 80% share, Carigali gets the smaller share. I know a few of the Lundin project team members.

- well...the gov could have shifted the borderline up north, you know... brows.gif really, how did the federal gov assign the border line between two adjacent states?

"Lundin spudded the third well in its 2012 Malaysian drilling campaign—the Merawan Batu-1 exploration well in the PM308B block, offshore east coast Peninsular Malaysia. The vertical well, to be drilled to a depth of 11,759 ft in about 195 ft of water, is targeting hydrocarbons in Oligocene-aged sands in a faulted anticline in an undrilled area 31 miles to the west of Lundin’s 2011 Janglau oil discovery. Lundin, through its subsidiary Lundin Malaysia, holds a 75% interest in the block, with Petronas (25%)."

hi all,i have something to ask and would love to hear opinions from all of you here..

1st,offer from transwater api,i will need to travel a lot for this position,i heard outstation allowance there is high, but still need to check with them because they just inform me yesterday.

2nd,i will attend 2nd assessment day with petra energy this coming wednesday, they offered fast-track engineer program which means in this 1 year,i will bond with them and after finish this program, they will assess and placed me based on my performance.(basically petra group consist of 7 companies,so in this 1 year program, they will send me to all the departments before being assess)

other information:this 2 company give same salary, transwater give much higher outstation allowance than petra, but i think work in petra means 2,3 months directly onshore/offshore,that is why they can not give high allowance..

so,let say i success in petra assessment day,i need help from all otai here to decide which one will suit best for my 1st step into this industry..im sorry for my bad english.thanks.
*
wow...never thought petra have such procedure for interview. I did my industrial training there 2 years ago & they rotate me to every department. For your post i think u belong in workpack department..salary wise (what i heard) is not that great..their rival sapura, TLO pays better & yeap..for new guys they'll send to offshore for 45 days.

Don't quote me on this but Petronas always assign block boundaries based on state boundaries and yes, they extend the state boundaries to the international boundaries.

For those who plan to work to onboard rigs, some food for thought

As as safety officer, i love watching these episodes since it helps me be better at my job in doing accident investigations and to try to implement safety measure to rectify potential problems in an existing work system.

Btw, this type of accident are very rare and even if your rig or company has an exemplary safety track record, it doesnt mean shit cant hit the fan and you always need to be vigilant.
