I did my internship in Petronas MLNG for three months with the hope of securing a job in a oil and gas company. However upon graaduating im still jobless. I eventually realize that without a good connection you will not go far, so take the opportunity to get to know more people during internship

I think the fe is called atp( tech pro), if you are based in kemaman, you'll be in heaven ( for completion segment, dont know about other segment), as per training, slb is better and more structured, pay wise smaller compare to other service company, but still higher compare to other, and you'll have your weekend,

yea tech pro position is what being offered...very limited reviews on the job scope. thanks for the info ..im hoping for a good stepping stone and i believe hali is capable of providing me so.

The company's HR arranged for medical check up at twin tower medical center. I am not sure if going to other clinics will help because maybe the company prefer only that clinic, I don't know. Is it for employee to choose or employer to specified?
*
I did my medical check up there recently..the doctor was actually nice. I asked him what he was looking for during physical examination and he told me that they emphasis enlargement around my lower abdomen. He told that people with lack of movement also sometimes dont qualify. Your friend has every right to ask the doctor for an outcome of the result. Is it Halliburton?

Yes, he was nice to me too. Just...very strict. Since they did not put any reasons for the result, merely "unfit for offshore" I guess my friend should ask for clarification. If it was because of claustrophobic, she can take the test somewhere else right? Because it's not really bad. But HR have sent the official email yesterday, she's rejected. Not sure if she can still try to ask clarifications from the doctor. And yes, Halliburton.

Im not so sure. But hali do have a few panel clinics.its a pity that she recieved her official letter but maybe she can talk to HR to retake her medical checkup

Knowing that it mite abit dumb to ask this, but its been bothering me for awhile..

Would the rough sea and monsoon affect the upstream of the oil and gas as Ive read through out the forum that waves can come up 7 to 8m high...

I dont quite understand your question. Below could be the answers to your questions:

- During monsoon season, usually offshore activities will slow down but this doesn't mean that the platforms will stop their production.

- The platforms had been designed for extreme environmental condition (return period of 100 years) where the wave height could exceed 10m high. So there's no issue on the platforms' integrity to withstand the monsoon weather.

Sorry ..i was trying to be as general as i could ..but i did get my answer. I was emphasising on productivicty btw.thanks
