monitor and tv resolution are based on pixel pitch. what is pixel pitch? it is pixel size. if 30" monitor has a resolution 2560x1600 means it has smaller pixel pitch but if it size is 30" but only can goes to 1920x1200 means it has quite large pixel. smaller pixel pitch can make you watch your screen as close as 1 feet without seeing a pixelated image. tv resolution stuck at resolution 1920x1080 which is so-called full hd. the bigger size of tv with the same resolution, the farthest you need to sit to make sure that you are watching the image without having to see pixelated image.

to answer your doubt, NO, bigger screens are not really means bigger resolution. it is depend of it pixel's pitch. there are 17" screen capable to shoot 1920x1200 resolution, found in tablet, macbook and some rare lcd monitor.

who wants to see that kind of wide??? if they watch full-hd video it will produce the popular-term black bars in vertical position laugh.gif

you need to control your room lighting. i am using glossy lcd panel almost 5 years and i never see my face appearing on the screen wink.gif

less brightness used for glossy monitor, thus can save a little amount of your electricity wink.gif

Then whats the difference between U2410 and U2412m ? I check in forum and they all prefer the U2410....

if you go to dell website, you can spot too many differences between both model.
here, i make it easy for you so you won't have to type it manually in the browser's address bar:
just click this link: http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/sna.asp...topic=24_30inch

1 30" screen is enough.

dell just launched the new U3014 monitor, roughly $1.5k

there's no need for eyefinity to be honest. the bezel spaces in between are distracting.

"just launched" or will launch? i did not see that model appear in their official website nor the shops? unsure.gif
