HI,
Should I go for U2312hm instead of S2340L  ?

May I know where to get 560 for U2312hm ?

Thank s  notworthy.gif

i am using the s2340l look great to me hardly notice any reflection under fluorescent light except if your window is behind you....but if you want 5 years warenty the u2312hm is cheaper then the s2340l because for 5 years the s2340l will be rm622 but i choose to take the s2340l mainly because is glossy and the design look much nicer and slimmer then the u series less heat coming out from the monitor itself also

I hope they can bring down the price of U2713HM to RM 1000.  cry.gif
Will definitely buy at that price  nod.gif

EDIT:
is it worth getting refurbished U2713HM at RM 1150 but 1 week warranty?  drool.gif
Lowyat seller selling this price (RM600 cheaper than original).

However, he also sell RM1710 (5% discount on Dell's price) but 5 years warranty.
So which 1 is more worth it?  hmm.gif

Anyone here experience refurbished monitors? sweat.gif
========================================

Also, is it worth getting u2412m (RM900) over u2312hm (RM590) since its more by RM310 for +120 pixels height

i'm thinking on the ARB vs retail unit as well. coz d savings is quite significant, but IF really bad luck, then will lose out even more. is Dell ARB unit has low chance of being defect unit within a yr of usage? hmm.gif

I'm not sure. There are some reports by lowyatians that their Dell monitor failed on them after 6 months of usage but they can bring to 3rd-party shop (not dell service center) to repair. But if the panel spoil, its game over so they say. hmm.gif

What is arb stands for? (abbreviation meaning?) new to this term laugh.gif

dell warranty is good (3-5 years) but does not apply on refurbished goods.

These goods which are returned by customers to Dell
are labeled as refurbished instead of new if its after *30 days*
(returned due to monitor does not suit them or for some *reasons*)

Therefore, from what I read, Dell sells these *refurbished* to their staff at a cheap price,
and then the staff sells to us at a cheap price + some $$$ for their profit i think. hmm.gif
Since the seller isn't dell but the staff, staff gives 1 week warranty. Some seller gives 30 days warranty.

Within that period of warranty, user can swap monitors if they found any dead/bright pixels.

from what i experience with my current monitor (samsung syncmaster 932b plus),
it has these rainbow pixels popping below the screen after usage of 2-3 years. (warranty already expired).

Throw in a 32" 1080p TV instead laugh.gif

Your budget already allows up to 27-30" monitors with 1600p resolution

TV can be used a gaming monitor also xD

But with your budget, pretty much every monitor is affordable for you. Try looking at Dell's 27" monitor wink.gif

any triple display users can let me know some info regarding triple display ? I am planning to pull trigger to get the dell u2913wm and currently I owning two u2312.

if I use these display landscape mode, will it be too wide ?
is it using three identical display have more advantages ?

I am basically doing photos, works(multiple display is advantage), movies and very light gaming(20% of my usage).

I also wish to try gaming on triple display! so basically I am digging info regarding buying a same 3rd screen or u2913wm.

Btw if I go for the u2913wm can I know will i pushing the GTX660Ti to its limit?
normal games like dirt, borderlands 2, etcs will run smooth at that reso with alteast medium settings?
