actually dvi and hdmi can cope with same resolution, only hdmi have audio..
most people tend to believe hdmi gives better picture where it is not
*

but u lose the convinience of audio jack provided by hdmi monitor

dont listen to people. if u like glossy then stay with it. if u cannot stand reflection then stay away from glossy and choose matte. sadly i love glossy as they give brighter sharper colors and display but get used to the reflections. matte people will have no worries on reflection problem but cannot enjoy clear sharp images

The market price is around RM570~RM590. The monitor is awesome, although it's priced a little higher than other 23". The included 5 years advance exchange warranty by Dell is definitely worth the price.

hi all,

a bit noob to LCD monitor, the last time i purchased was back in 2007. Right now looking for 27in and i am thinking of getting the dell 27 ultrasharp. but just wondering, for the price difference of that much, what is really the benefits that I get? What i can see is the dell ultrasharp monitor provides wider color gamut coverage, in fact more than 100% ? where else for normal Samsung monitor, the color gamut may not be 100%...

maybe for my own use, i won't really notice that much difference also, but any inputs and comments here on what i should weigh between the pros and cons for the monitors?

i am aiming for 27 inch... thanks all...

tried google here and there myself also at the same time...

Lg has hdmi port and audio jack. if u plan to use hdmi, it will be more convinience.
otherwise all 23" that listed above are same to me, pick any with ready stock & best price.

if u comparing samsung basic 27" its a standard monitor.
glossy screen, TN panel, poor view angle, fast response, energy saving, screen tilt adjust
1920x1080 pixel

dell ulltra sharp model is multi purpose office monitor.
anti glare screen, HIPS panel, good view angle, medium response, got card reader, screen tilt, height.. multi adjust
latest model go 2560x1440 pixel

full gamut is terrible, i always lock to SRGB only

well ASUS is known to have an infamous extremely long period to RMA products, ask around the forummers here

as for personal case, 2 of my friends who sent their laptop and graphics card back to ASUS centre took nearly 2 months to get it back after sending in, but thats not the worst thing.. it wasnt fixed at all doh.gif
