Hey guys how's 23” IPS237V IPS?I like the fact that is has 2 HDMI port and an audio out port Considering 23” IPS237V and Samsung S24B350H But I am favoring towards IPS237V because it has 2 x HDMI port but the response time is 5ms and I read somewhere that the ghosting effect is quite noticeable for FPS games. What do u guys think? I know u guys gonna recommend Dell but then the U series has only 1 DVI and VGA port =/ I need 2 x HDMI or 1 HDMI and 1 DVI for my pc and PS3 Which monitor is matte and which is glossy? And also I've no idea why there's still D-sub (VGA) port on current's LED monitor This post has been edited by Duckies: Mar 21 2013, 12:15 AM

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Mar 24 2013, 11:55 PM) Meaning a 1k tv will look crap. Benq GW2450hM - Rm599 http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/monitors/...onitor-review/2Looks good. DVI, VGA, HDMI. As a user of AMVA n IPS panels. try AMVA. Its awesome on black levels especially. Oh thanks for recommending! Now I have more options instead of just Samsung EDIT:But BenQ GW2450HM vs Samsung S24B350H...which 1 is better?Port wise and price wise Benq is definitely looks good This post has been edited by Duckies: Mar 25 2013, 12:00 AM

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Mar 25 2013, 12:04 AM) I would think in the RM500-600 range Its either Dell - U2312HM - E-IPS - VGA+DVI+DP - RM549 Benq - GW2450 - AMVA - VGA-HDMI-DVI - RM599 Viewsonic - VW2370MH - AH-IPS - VGA+DVI+HDMI - RM539.. loooks good AH-IPS and Frameless like U2913WM. Cons so far i see on this is the adjustment on the stand. BTW Display port on u2312 is useless unless ure going to do multi setup screen using high end ati cards. btw AH-IPS are newer than E-IPS. Wow thanks!Erm my budget is somewhere around 500-700.Erm how about Dell S2440L?It's AMVA also and it has HDMI port. But well it's glossy so it might be good and bad depending on lighting. Viewsonic looks good but is there an 24" version of it?Never tried viewsonic and benq monitors before so I'm not sure good they are.I guess need to see it face to face at shop This post has been edited by Duckies: Mar 25 2013, 12:13 AM

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Mar 25 2013, 12:20 AM) saw that in digital mall. Infact i think u can see all the monitors in digital mall all it and their prices are very very good. RM699.. 2340L is RM569. looks like a nice screen. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_s2440l.htmtheres a comparison against benq here. ghosting looks solid same as benq.Better than Dell E-IPS which is prone to it. Seems to be a very good A-MVA Panel. Yea read that just now while waiting for your reply hehe Hmm my current choice would be somewhere these 5 Dell S2440L BenQ GW2450HM Viewsonic VX2370S-LED (IPS Panel) and VX2453MH-LED Samsung S24B350H

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Mar 25 2013, 12:31 AM) the samsung is a tn panel. Unless ure hardcore gamer. and only dedicate this to gaming ... I'd never recommend tn panels unless for that very reason. BTW nobody makes better tn panels like samsung. Oh I see.Hmm it's gonna be multipurpose.Browsing, watching movies and gaming Well the rest of them other than Samsung will be good for gaming? The response time shown from their monitor specs seems good. All below 5ms GTG This post has been edited by Duckies: Mar 25 2013, 12:33 AM

QUOTE(Alpha_Tay @ Mar 25 2013, 05:14 AM) got the dell s2440l, why? it's cheapest 24 inch 8-bit panel due to new AUO (ACER) AMVA LED Panel. with 2 (now expired) dell epp coupon, the price is just RM584.10 , original price was RM706 + RM63 5 year warranty = RM769 , total RM184.90 discounts. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_s2440l.htmHmm but the discount is no more valid right? And is it too glossy?

QUOTE(Alpha_Tay @ Mar 26 2013, 04:12 AM) not glossy problem if the monitor dont face with light source including windows, sunlight, etc. Hmm mind elaborate more on this? Now I am considering between Dell S2440L or Benq GW2450 I do like glossy screen because it feels the picture is clearer and higher contrast though I am not sure whether it is true case.

QUOTE(Alpha_Tay @ Mar 27 2013, 09:16 AM) search dell s2440l at google images, there is some pic about its reflectiveness. and benq has some funny warranty, http://www.benq.com.my/page/?pageid=73 years full warranty – purchase on or before 31/12/2009 3 years for labor and parts (except panel 1 year only) – purchase on or after 01/01/2010 *All the accessories is only 1 year warranty such as Power Adaptor while dell add RM63 can get 5 years from 3 years easily. Wa so weird one the warranty for Benq Hmm I Googled the image..some of the picture shows that the glossy screen is quite reflective which can be disturbing

QUOTE(NotScammer @ May 4 2013, 10:42 PM) meh,ill pass that..used to be in my list, but its a glossy screen. i couldnt find any other 1mm bezel monitor with matte screen other than this lg, i know it still have inner bezel which quite thick, but it looks cool though.. for dell,as you said,it has big advantage on its service. so yeah, still 50-50 so far Y not glossy?I do plan to get the Dell S2440L coz it has a HDMI port while Dell U2312HM dont have.Is glossy screen that bad? Oh,the LG monitor mentioned above is very good.2 hdmi vs dvi + usb + display port and frameless but the only disadvantage I read is that the ghosting effect during FPS games are quite visible Another option would be Benq GW2450HM This post has been edited by Duckies: May 5 2013, 03:37 PM

QUOTE(muhamad_asyraf @ May 5 2013, 04:05 PM) actually dvi and hdmi can cope with same resolution, only hdmi have audio.. most people tend to believe hdmi gives better picture where it is not Yea I know but I will need the port for my PS3 QUOTE(NotScammer @ May 5 2013, 04:27 PM) glossy will have a very bad reflection when you turn on the lights, even dell did try to reduce this, but still its visible.. I think ill go for lg, since ill use this for at least 5 years and above, maybe as a second monitor in future.. plus, the lg got red led at the power button, that will be nice match will my other equipments which have red led, mouse, cpu, and earphone Hmmm..I am quite interested in that LG model but the ghosting effect worries me

Dell S2440L (glossy and reflection issue) or LG IPS237L (ghosting effect and slow response?) or Benq GW2450M
