Did the other players help him out?
Sahin, Allen, and the others had chances to shoot but didn't. Even Downing played well but also shot wide.

Of course as supporters we can voice our grouses, but the least we can do is not to insult him like the way some of you did.

You're coming off as a bit of a broken record now so you can just go and do one.

bro,

no one insulted him,no one calling him names,we are voicing our frustration towards a guy who we think can carry us forward as others, with the exception of Allen, Sterling and maybe Jonjo, are hopeless. We can see clearly that Gerrard is not in the mood anymore, its not his age,its his passion,it has died down...

have faith in BR... your team looks good but still needed time to gel and find that winning formation.

look at arsenal last season... and look at where we ended up. smile.gif

it's only 3 games into the season, please don't push the panic button just yet.

It's like calling God (any respective God) 'God', and 'Spiritual Being'.

You dont see people in churches going, 'Bless us owh Spiritual Being'.

Calling Football, soccer, is like calling American Football, 'hand-egg'.

It does show (tho not determinative) a level of respect and passion.

but we really don't want to go into a debate over linguistics now do we?
*
Let's not equate with American football, they may not have a different name for the game, i could be wrong and to call it 'hand egg' would be disrespectful and I wouldn't even think of doing so out of respecft for the game. As what I've said earlier it's really a choice of word, it we don't like the word football or soccer, we can also describe the game as ... "a game comprising of 2-teams with 11 players on each side with 2-goal post and a ball and .........." that'll be mouthful.

I wouldn't even wanna start to debate on the term, as far as I understnd it means the same until one Mr. Know Everything about soccer, oops football ..... comes round with all the football knwoledge with a one line comment. Have a nice day. smile.gif

As a Liverpool supporter I understand the frustrations everyone is having. Ask led_zep_freak and he'll tell you that I did rip into Suarez when the match was going on, but he deserves better than "RVP is better than our strikeforce combined by a hundred miles" and as one citeh fan mentioned "a liability". A liability, unbelievable.

Speaking of liabilities, the reason why we are in the relegation zone is we've conceded 7 goals in 3 games.
Arsenal haven't scored before this game and has not conceded a single goal and they are 1 point behind the scum.

We cannot expect Suarez to score 5 more goals to win us all 3 games. The problem with our team now is more than just being unable to score.

Bro., it's really a choice of words, you feel like it you can use football or if have a mood swing you can also use soccer. They means the same, there's nothing wrong with it. I use football and soocer from time to time, no fix time or occassion to do that. Cheers.

Well, to some (especially Englishmen), to call it 'soccer' is disrespectful. Perspective.

Added on September 3, 2012, 9:23 amso what are our options? it seems that we have some time to bring assaidi into match fit, and probably we should consider seriously in bringing some temporary solution. a strikeforce consisting of drogba and owen aint that bad isnt it? anyone fancy our youngsters for the job?

There are 2 choices in this situation after losing a match. Either you are sad about it or you joke about it. I think if you joke about it, you will be less moody. biggrin.gif

Added on September 3, 2012, 9:26 amOk latest turn of events. We may sign Owen and Drogba.

Drogba will be good.

Can we sign Drogba before Jan? Owen's a Bosman, but Drogba is still on contract with Shenhua right?

observation from outsider, i watched last two EPL games of Liverpool. They were the best team in both match. I think Joe Allen has been a really good signing for Liverpool. Against City, it's solely because lack of concentration in defense. While against Arsenal, no finishing product and blunder by Reina. Overall, I would say Liverpool still in the race for top four, the building up play is joyful to watch unlike last season. It's time for Stevie G to slow down, we had the same problem with Lampard too. Joe Allen could replace Stevie G role to dictate the player while Sahin and Shelvey behind him.

Swansea play possession and passing game since Roberto Martinez took over. That was like 5 years before, the foundation is always there at Swansea. Rodgers came and perfected it. At Liverpool, he just began his project. It's only 3 - 4 moths, no team can adjust properly in such short amount of time. He need time, and his boss should back him.

Drogba might not worth it. His huge salary plus ACoN, mean he'll be gone for couple of months early 2013 as he's yet to retire from his country.

i think some do have a point,RVP can singlehandedly win games but Suarez...i think he need to practise more on his finishing and we dun need any fancy goals, a normal tap in will do, like i said, if he dun score, who can we expect to score goals?

we are in a difficult period and supporters like me and u and other Reds fan are frustrated in watching games that were played with no heart and soul,im ok if we lose but i cant bear to watch my team playing like a championship team where past players like Ian Rush,Barnes,Keegan,Dalglish,Beardsley played their hearts out to bring glory to their beloved club.

You didnt know? Shenhua has to release Drogba because they cant pay his wages apparently.
Their loss, could be our gain.
