Putting this out again...

Anyone can confirm if paying for dining / groceries using Samsung Pay or Google Pay is considered 5x or 1x points?

AFAIK, redemption must be A to A, not third party.

Hi, new to Alliance (just got the virtual card due to the RM700 promo).

Seems like the card doesn't actually have a fixed number? I only see can generate one-time use or generate regular debit payment button.

Also, the TBP earned - what's the redemption method? From searching this thread it seems most efficient is exchange for voucher (roughly 480 points to RM1)?

Fixed number have to check on statement if want to pay outstanding.

Actually this feature is good especially when you do a lot of online shopping across different website. With online fraud pretty rampant nowadays, I use this whenever I have to make purchase on websites I don’t normally make purchases on a frequent basis.

You should aim for 8x for the best value.
Some will aim to redeem miles using this for higher ROI.

I'm new to Alliance, just got my VI last month but so far I've been less than impressed with the CS... it's an issue with my balance transfer. The call support is mostly ok, its just the incident management team that I'm less satisfied with....

So I've applied for a RM1k balance transfer for 6 months with 0% interest. When I got my application approved I saw that there's an interest of RM60+ being charged

(Dont worry about the acc number this is already cancelled)

So I gave a call to CS thinking this should be straightforward fix, just reverse the interest... how hard can it be? But in the end it took like 3 weeks to finally resolved the issue and they created a new balance transfer account for me

But even this account also have its own issues doh.gif Firstly they didn't include the first month payment that I've already made (the RM166.67 shown above). No big deal gave a call and after 2 days they included the amount. And now after receiving my statement.... the statement is showing the full remainder amount which seems like I'm paying for a 1 month balance transfer instead of 6.

Gave a call to CS again just now and the agent told me this is normal for the promotional 6 month 0% interest BT.... just pay the minimum amount or more than that will do. I honestly find it hard to believe the agent after what I been through and I'm new to Alliance.... this doesn't seem like normal for BT

Is what the agent told me correct?

u should check what is the plan for this 0% BT, is it reducing balance, if it is, u just need to pay 5% minimum balance for the first 5 months, n settle in full in 6th month...

How do I check? Need call CS again?

Because I only applied for normal 6% BT that is eligible for 0% interest. Didn't spot anywhere mentioned 'reducing balance'

I took up this offer before. Just pay minimum amount. The balance won’t get charged interest until end of tenure.
