would like to ask about what is the use of msata connector of gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3
is that thing make any different with SSD or in what circumstances it would be beneficial?
----
after some reading seems msata is just a smaller connector.. so is totally useless?

either go for intel 330 or crucial m4.. intel might have more speed but m4 is very stable.. using m4 more then half year as daily pc including some torrent.. no issue...

If I just get clone my HDD and replace it with a SSD on my laptop, will it increase the overall speed? Or do I need to tweak the BIOS setup? TQ

If you think that the extra 2 years warranty is very important, then just go for the 520 then. I assume if even the 330 only able to last for 3 years, and by that time, ssd should be dirt cheap with much larger capacity which you wont even bother much looking at 120gb anymore.

TQ If you initially already has AHCI enabled then you won't need to do anything on the BIOS, just make sure the TRIM is enabled in the Windows Registry, lookup first page for more info on the TRIM.

TQ Hi Bro, make sure TRIM is enabled and you get full speed of it. You can refer to some of my thread on setup info/instruction on TRIM (it's available on on the web as well).

QUOTE Intel SSD 525 mSATA SSD Pictured, TestedIntel's SSD 525 line of performance mSATA SSDs may be slated for 2013, but made an early debut with the company's NUC (next unit of computing) desktop. A 180 GB variant of the drive was put to test by VR-Zone, which is driven by LSI-SandForce SF-2281 processor, and features three Intel-made 20 nm MLC NAND flash chips (6-channels). The drive cracked Anvil Storage Utilities benchmark with 504 MB/s (compressible) and 463 MB/s (incompressible) sequential read speeds, 468 MB/s (compressible) and 240 MB/s (incompressible) sequential writes, and about 55,841 IOPS 4K random write (QD16) performance. The performance numbers make the drive appear nearly as fast as larger 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, and could be a boon for Ultrabook makers. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Source : http://www.techpowerup.com/175824/Intel-SS...red-Tested.html
