One way ticket, you get SSD'ed it's never be an HDD again. Btw anyone has got in hand of a Samsung 840 pro yet?

agree too... once SSD'ed cant stop wonder is it all of this time HDD may bottleneck PC based on overall spec..

either go for intel 330 or crucial m4.. intel might have more speed but m4 is very stable.. using m4 more then half year as daily pc including some torrent.. no issue...

Dell? hurm... Intel is it? if Intel 520 is not by far best.. among the best but got other which is in term of performance is better dun forget this 520 come with 5 years warranty. Try read review for Samsung 840 and Vertex 4..

Agreed .. at first im using Cosair Sandforce which is fast but not stable... then buy M4 a little bit slower but very stable.. ya at first i can feel the difference between these two controller but then who care for 2-3 second late for every day computing.. i prefer with stable and if you find the cheap reliable brand why not..

ya.. bter go for bigger size since after 3 years you would definitely change the SSD or pass to install into some older laptop..price/gb will be cheaper..hehe..

For me when there is never ending technology product there is no good time bcoz technology never stop... in SSD case.. market penetrable is wider compare to same time last year.. last year i bought 60gb SSD at RM 400 now 128/120gb price starting RM 300... yes the price will go down.. for me now can consider reasonable price range..

Better chose Intel due to reliability and stability...used Cosair once.. got some BSOD issue.. but not that frequent..

haha...flash flood affect HDD not SSD... if majority hardware enthusiast say hardware price is expensive...then how about game peripheral/accessories price... do check price history for SSD before make any shout loud..just compare to last 24 month price..sure huge drop..

for 128/120 gb the price are stagnant plus minus RM 50-70 for the last 12 month...look for bigger capacity u will find price are going down per gb.. plus now many SSD come with great reliability great NAND and great controller that give more value to end user.. but dun compare with enterprise standard which still expensive for individual use..
