Tip of the day.
If you are using an amplifier, please do not on your equalizer or else it will distort the original music that you suppose to hear.

I cant use equalizer cuz my DAC bypass windows volume control laugh.gif

Oh~~ you can, Foobar can do EQ as well, and bypassing windows volume control, but I don't use EQ myself.
Unless you're talking about those EQ provided by those Realtek? Or Windows built-in so called "enhance" (bass boost, loud, etc.).

Try:
1. plug in the jack properly
2. change the device of listening
3. change songs
4. check is the any blockage in the nozzle
5. change side listen

see if it still exist.

This?
Sometime IEM users can hear a background electrical noise from their source when the volume is low; it is know as 'hissing'. Most IEMs are very sensitive therefore it is easy for them to pick up electrical noise that generally other headphones would ignore. There is no actual fix for this issue, but sometime adding an in-line resistor (to increase the impedance and lowering the sensitivity) seems to work. Also, certain sources (such as one type of HDD based iPod) are known to produce more electrical noise.

Sometime, IEMs with highlighted 1KHz ~ 10kHz region in sound frequency are also referred to as being 'sibilant' or 'harsh'. The problem is, these kinds of IEMs produce very sharp sounding treble that can often be very irritating and uncomfortable during long term listening. This kind of sound is most commonly noticed in female vocal presentation. Due to the fact that everybody has a different hearing freq. resp., some IEMs will sound sibilant to some while completely fine to others. There is no real fix for this issue; however, EQing is perhaps one of the most effective solution, followed by modification of the IEM itself (mostly of the filter and nozzle).

No comment on that, as i havent try the Sony MH1 before, but reading some users comment on that, still pretty much balance between negative and positive comments from user.

on that Realtek EQ, which one you use? Or you also don't set to any? Coz when i set to non, it's kinda dark. Vocal goes too deep. Currently setting it to rock with a slight adjustment on treble to bright up the vocal and treble. Not using any dac+amp, btw. The source comes directly from the laptop.

You should get yourself a Hippo CriCri+ or for a starter the Acoustic UD100 (sold here in garage sales), these are recommended DAC for ultimate listening, those SQ produced by those cheap Realtek chips + electrical interference is not good for your IEM. nod.gif

brows.gif XP3 after 600 hours, cable burn-in as well. rclxm9.gif
Now this XP3 is my daily IEM companion.

Next stop probably save up for EPH-100, this one even more poisonous, like Taipan. sweat.gif

You want focus on the vocal or the instruments? If you just need the volume on the instruments then XP3 (V shape), if you focus on all aspect then XP2 (balanced), or if you want those head-shaking-full-range-bass then XP1 (full bass; low to mid bass).
Still unsure? Then you had better take your own source (DAP, Laptop??, DAC, etc.) then test it at Jaben or any Retail (Jaben partners) and pick your choice.

There're few cheaper AMP out there, FiiO E6, E3, Govibe Minibox, Hippo Pipe Mini, etc?
Hippo built has always not amazing but the SQ is killing, just like the Hippo CriCri+, I was like WTH? So simple but the SQ is poisoning.
Anyway for those whom want AMP for their XP series, Govibe Minibox is recommended, though I have yet to really audition the combination, need to schedule my visit to audition more.... and more... cool.gif

i was skeptical about how the cricri+ will pair with beyerbynamic house sound, turns out after a while of listening, i find it quite synergized with cricir+ so i will recommend it too

i searched for Acoustic UD100 but didnt find any at garage sale. sweat.gif

thanks bro. Will consider that. I actually was eyeing dr150+vero150+cricri+ bundle from jaben but then i found someone selling dr150 at a cheaper price. so i ended buying it without cricri+ and vero150. to buy all these three combo separately seems shocking.gif but seriously i'm not satisfied with the sound of my laptop. even the speaker sound also doh.gif so might still end up with cricri+ very very soon. blush.gif
